We had a very nice stay in the Crow's Nest and felt very welcomed and pampered by John, Bill and Patti. They served beautiful, delicious and fresh breakfasts with the very best Kona coffee grown on the farm with other fresh fruits grown on the property as well. Amazing!!

Thank you, Patricia, for your kind (and comprehensive) review. John, Bill, and Patti are indeed doing a wonderful job at the Edge while we visit my wife's family in Japan.. Aloha and very best wishes, Kurt

Friends from Germany stayed here. A week before their scheduled arrival we stopped by to see the place, much to my surprise the owner allowed us to go into an occupied room to look around. The occupants weren't there which made no difference we went in anyway. The last night

Dear Katrina, thank you for your comment. I learned 15 years ago when we started the B&B that you simply can't please all the people all the time. Not possible. This June we're in Asia working as volunteers with disadvantaged children and have brought in an interim manager. I'll bring all of these matters to his attention, Most of what you wrote surprises me. Also, I'm a little confused -- you never stayed here but are writing the complaint for your friends? Best wishes, Kurt

We stayed three night in November 2017 to discover the Captain Cook area, we could have stayed a whole week had we had enough time because this place is a real gem and could easily be qualified as our best accommodation of our whole 3 week trip to Hawaii. The hosts Kurt and Kana

I stayed in the crows nest and found it most comfortable and very private. The room included a walk-in closet with a refrigerator and a large south facing deck that overlooked the coffee plantation and ocean in the distance. While there folks from Russia, Germany and France

Thank you for your kind review. I believe it is the diversity of guests that make doing what we do so very interesting (for us and for guests as well). Besides that, never too many guests at one time, never too few. So lucky to be able to call it home, so lucky to be able to share it with others (aloha spirit).

Do the rooms have A/C? If not do you have fans? Thanks
There's absolutely no need for air condition here as we are at the perfect elevation. We do have fans in the rooms which guests seldom use.

Hi Fida, So sorry not to have seen your question earlier. I suppose that now your trip to the Big Island is a thing of the past. Let me answer anyway -- Hapuna Beach Park is a very fine sandy beach well north of where we live (approx 45 minute drive). Very close to us are two of the finest snorkeling spots in Hawaii -- Kealakekua Bay and Two Step. Sending best wishes, Kurt
