Best location in downtown Cody Wyoming within walking distance to shops, restaurants and more. Two blocks from the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and one block from the Cody Gunslingers Shootout and Cody Trolley tours at the Irma Hotel. Includes free coffee and tea, indoor pool, cardio room, guest laundry and free WiFi. Log structure reminiscent of the Yellowstone lodges in Yellowstone National Park. Very clean and comfortable.

Excellent value for the money. Good location next to Buffalo Bill museum, “downtown” and restaurants, you can easily walk a couple blocks. We got a suite which was a great deal. Nice drive into Yellowstone.

We drove into Cody and were shocked by the prices for a one-night stay in any of the normal brand hotels. Moose Creek had availability and the price was great! It's an older property, but the owners are new as of January, and you can tell they are working hard on updates. Staff very nice, fun lobby, easy check-in for last minute, and the location is PERFECT to stroll downtown Cody for food and gifts. Room was clean and hot water was perfect, honestly can't beat it for the price! They also give you a 10% discount to eat at some local places. Indoor pool looked fun as well.

Moose Creek Lodge and Suites is right on the main street through downtown, so it is within walking distance to almost anything you'd need. We were there while a parade was going on (we hear Cody has a lot of them) and had a perfect view! You could sit on the sidewalk, or under their carport if you wanted to stay out of the sun. The staff was very friendly and offered insight on attending the rodeo and recommended Peter's Cafe down the street for breakfast, which was a hit. In the lobby they have free coffee available, and a cute gift shop if you want to pick up a little something to remember your visit. The indoor pool looked inviting, but we didn't have time to try it out. The decor in our room was lovely. It looked and smelled very clean and had 2 comfortable queen beds with fresh and fluffy bedding! Our room also had vinyl plank flooring (I know some don't like carpeting due to allergies or cleanliness). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it!

The location is the best part of this hotel. We could walk to park, restaurants and shops. The rooms are small and we could easily hear from adjoining rooms. The mattress in our room was saggy and soft. Bedding and towels were nice. You will have to request any room services such as fresh towels, etc.

The location is perfect--within walking distance of the downtown restaurants, bars, and shops and a short drive to the rodeo grounds & museum. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and have everything you need including coffee and creamer (not the powdered stuff!). In the lobby, there are snacks (pop tarts-yum!) & a nice variety of souvenirs! The staff is very friendly and the owners (Larry and Sharon) are so friendly and helpful with anything you might need during your stay. The Moose Creek Lodge & Suites is the place to stay when visiting Cody!

I loved their trusting home style service very warm and welcoming as well as accommodating. I really enjoyed the fact that they left the keys stuck to the front lobby door for us latecomers and allowed us a later check out time. Really sweet family style hospitality I would stay there everytime I'm in the neighborhood.

Excellent location in "Wild West" Cody, Wyoming for this super-clean, very well appointed lodge, the Moose Creek Lodge and Suites was the perfect place to stay on our anniversary trip! The friendly owners and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful about the Cody area. We stayed in one of the deluxe king suites which has plenty of room, with a livingroom/dining area, separate bedroom, and bath with tub/shower combo. The "1/2 kitchen" area included full-size fridge, microwave, dishware and utensils, as well as good counter space and storage for limited in-room food prep and cooking. Coffee and a nice gift shop with locally-made items is in the hotel lobby. A note: the property consists of different sizes and styles of rooms, some of which are on the second level. Keep in mind, there is no elevator. This is a non-smoking, no-pets allowed hotel. An indoor pool and on-site laundry is available for guests.
The lodge is just a block or two from the wonderful Buffalo Bill Center of the West museum complex, and within walking distance of shops and restaurants along Sheridan Avenue. A stop for a meal or just a visit at Buffalo Bill's Irma Hotel is a must for Old West history buffs, just a few blocks east of Moose Creek Lodge. If there is time for a day-trip or two, consider spectacular scenic drives (Chief Joseph Scenic Byway & Beartooth Highway), picnicking (Buffalo Bill Reservoir), dinosaur discoveries and hot springs, and Legend Rock Petroglyph site day-trips (Thermopolis), and a chance to see the free roaming wild horses of the historic Pryor Mountains Wild Horse Range near Lovell, Wyoming (visitor center and tours are available in Lovell). Each of the above day-trip locations are within approx. 2 hours one-way from Cody, and each is well worth the effort!
My husband and I highly recommend the Moose Creek Lodge and Suites in Cody!
