On a recent road trip to the West that included Cody, WY (Yellowstone, NP) I stayed two nights at the Hampton Inn, WY. My overall impression was excellent. After driving from Keystone, SD (Mt. Rushmore) across Wyoming, I arrived petty much beat. The two young ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. One help me carried a package up to my room. The room was modern and airy. My only issued was there was only one trash can in the main room, not the bathroom. The hotel and room were clean and had a very modern décor. The breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn breakfast. The room had a refrigerator with a small freezer which I needed for my ice packs for my insulin carrying case. The coffee maker was a Keurig single cup machine which was extremely nice. My overall stay was excellent.

Left Yellowstone and stayed in Cody just an hour or two away. The hotel is very clean. There is a nice area out back where you can lay and sun yourself and an area you can eat. Breakfast was very good and they had two people cleaning and refilling food. We even had a little private area where we could eat next to the breakfast seating area. Check-in was fast and made you feel welcome. Easy parking and easy to find. The room was clean.

Upon checking in the lady at the front desk was not very nice I asked her about an addition 10 dollars charged and she said there is a 25 dollar fee I will get back but never explained the extra 10 dollars. I came an hour after check in because the room wasn’t ready and once we got in the room we noticed there was food all down two of the walls. I told the cleaning lady about it and she went to hand me a magic eraser to clean it when it was never cleaned from the person before. I had to ask her to clean it. The room wasn’t wipes down cause I found what looked like watermelon seeds everywhere, in the drawers and on the floor. One of the beds had hair and stains on the sheets. Had to sleep in the same bed because the other one was gross. I do have pictures of all these things. The shower didn’t work right, when u tried to pull on the metal thing to make it come out of the shower head only half the water would come through. I ended up cutting my hand messing with it to try to get it to work. I was told by the front desk they were all sold out of other rooms unless I want to pay even more to stay in a suite no sorry or anything

This is a nice property and it was updated and clean. I rarely give a bad review and I would have given it five stars however, the breakfast was terrible. For the price of the room, they need to raise the bar and possibly get a new person to manage this or just train her to do it better. The bananas were dark brown, the waffles crumbly- (not enough water to the mix?), the oatmeal looked like it was reheated or just not enough water to be cooked, the eggs were awful and grainy, the gravy for the biscuits was not the consistency of gravy- it was watery. In fact it was all pretty bad. Also, this was not a cheap stay- probably due to the hotel’s proximity to Yellowstone. I was disappointed also that the hot tub wasn’t working properly.
So overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Great new Hampton Inn. Outside of town which we liked. Very clean.
Manager was manning the desk and when we got there early he was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and some things to do. Rooms are modern and nicely appointed with plenty of storage and lots of hooks to hang things in room and also in bathroom. Very large countertop in bathroom and a nice big shower.
Great easy to close shades.
An added bonus is that there are great mountain views out of the front of the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend if you are going through Cody! 5+ stars!!

+1
This Hampton Inn by Hilton is less than 3 years old and still has that fresh feel. There is an indoor pool and outdoor hot tub, which I prefer, especially since it has been cool in the evening. You can enjoy the hot tub longer.
The rooms are spacious with 2 chairs, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. The king bedroom has a nice walk-in shower, which I guess all do.
The morning breakfasts are what the Hampton Inn brand does best and IMO better than the others. Waffle makers, eggs, bacon, sausage on other days omelets when not just scrambled, fruits, hard boiled eggs and cereals including oatmeal. Coffee and all of the above are included daily from 6-10am.
When you are running around Yellowstone or other all day, a great start to the morning.

I stayed at the hotel while visiting Yellowstone national park. The hotel is new and is located at the western part of town, Service is good.
I used the guest laundry service, which has 2 washers and 2 driers for the use of the guests. The cost is $2.00 for the washer and $1.50 for the drier.
Breakfast was standard, but they were missing knives, which is a problem. I am sure it will be remedied soon. Without knives, breakfast choices were reduced.
The room was clean and comfortable. The mattress was on the firmer side, which caused me some problems on the first night, but on the second night I was able to sleep well.

Expensive stay, but great staff! Any problems I had were quickly addressed. Breakfast could have used more dedicated staff as food and coffee was often not restocked and garbages overflowing. The carpet in room could use a clean and the mattress was comfortable but sunken. Kept feeling like I was going to roll out of bed! All that being said, I was made to feel pretty comfortable during my stay, thanks to the wonderful staff!
