Detailed Reviews
Stayed at Pahaska due to its location near east entrance to YNP (a mile from entrance). The large lodge building was originally built by Buffalo Bill Cody, and he hosted guests from around the world - great history. It is right on the Shoshone River so one can hear the rushing of the river while walking in the surrounding forest (carry bear spray and know how to use it). We stayed in one of the A-frame cabins. It was dated and needs some renovation (the toilets are NOT water savers!), but it was comfortable and clean. They allow pets (we brought our dog), but cabins do not have any smell of dogs - kept very clean. We had breakfast and dinner in the dining room. The decor was log and decorated with critter heads. The food was good, and cooked to order. They need more vegetarian options, though.
This is a great location, and we recommend.

We stayed for one night after driving through the park. Our "honeymoon suite" was a nice size cabin attached to another cabin with a shared porch. The bathroom has a Jacuzzi tube and a shower with two shower heads. Lightening in the bedroom was very dark and could use more lights for reading. The room needs updating but was OK for one night. The room had no refrigerator, but they will give you some ice for your cooler. There is a restaurant on sight but we didn't eat there. There is a great gift shop and loved the selection of gifts I could bring home. The other highlight was the Buffalo Bill lodge home on site. The gentleman who looked like Buffalo Bill had great historical knowledge, was charming and willing to have his picture taken. Loved this! Oh, and a grizzly walked through the resort the day before!

This hotel offers clean, comfortable rooms in an historic setting.
Our room, on one half of the first floor of a log cabin, it was spacious, but a bit dark. There was a desk, but no light and no outlet for charging a laptop or phone. The bathroom was small, but with a good shower, lots of hot water, and exceptionally nice toiletries.
No internet or TV.
Good, basic, accommodations.
We enjoyed walking the grounds and reading the informative signage.

My best friend and I stayed for a week at the Pahaska Tepee Resort, and I have mostly great things to say about the place. The staff was absolutely great when it came to answer questions, giving assistance and knowledge about the surrounding area and local activities. The food in the restaurant is excellent, and the gift store is decently priced. My only issue is that they need to put more secure locks on the cabin doors. The room doors in the cabins only have your standard doorknob lock, nothing more. At the very least, a security chain, such as the ones commonly found in hotel rooms, would be a good addition. I would gladly stay at this resort again if I ever visit Yellowstone National Park again.

My parents and I stayed in an Aframe for two nights at Pahaska Teepee. It is very disconnected(no wifi/TV) and historic. It’s location is great as it is right outside the East entrance. There is a restaurant and bar on property. It has the original Buffalo Bill hunting lodge on property! You can tour it daily with a very informative guide! We loved that! We also did the 1 hour horse ride and it was great! Our guide made us feel comfortable the whole time as we aren’t very experienced with horses. We thought the food was excellent. Prices, portions and flavors all good! We really liked chatting with the staff and hearing where everyone was from. We also had some drinks at the bar in the evening and the chandelier in there is something to see. Great place to really experience history and disconnect which is so hard to do anymore. Thanks!

I love this place, it is a step back. So why are you going to the West to experience the West. We stayed in a log cabin, it had Heat, Lights, shower, and bathroom. All well kept up. It was my wifes first time for a summer vacation in a LONG time. No T.V. quiet best nights sleep in a LONG time. Woke up in the morning with a Buffalo walking around just chilling was great. Food was great, little bar and resturant the owner was a great guy. I have stayed here before and I would and will go back. A trip to Yellowstone coming in the Eastern entrance you can not beat Pahaska Teepee. There was a reason old Cody built a lodge here.

Our family toured the West side of the country and stayed here. This was stay two of five places we stayed. We were very disappointed. This place costs the most and was the least kept up. Our room looked like it hadn't been swept in months, there were candy wrappers on the floor, holes in the bedroom doors, red fluid on the tables and dresser top, which we had to clean up, and there were no soaps, shampoo, etc.. The bottles were there for these items but they were empty. There were mice and or other critters carrying wrappers around the room during the night. We were just very disappointed when we got there to find the room not ready for us. Check in was at 3 and we didn't arrive til closer to 8. Maybe others have had better outcomes here but this stay ruined it for us looking to stay here again.

The grounds are neat with old buildings and lots of history, there's a nice gift shop, cabins and restaurant. We've stopped here 3-4 times over the years. It's a nice stop if entering Yellowstone through the east gate. The food was decent for dinner, ribs were good, steak was good but sauce over the top was average, chicken marsala was kind of soggy and sauce not very appetizing, liver and onions cooked properly. Kind of pricey, but that's typical for the area. Would stop again when in the area!

Didn't realize how far this was from the central park (45 min to Fishing Bridge, 1.25 min to Canyon.) When we checked in they warned us of wandering the property as grizzlies were in the area. Hair in bathtub, ants and tick in bedding. No internet from room, and sparse from office. Could hear conversations of people in the other side of our cabin.

Nice staff! We asked for more pillows & they brought more pillows to the room. There is NO wifi in the rooms or outside the main office. There is No TV in the room or a fan. If you’re okay with being off “the grid”, this is a nice retreat to do so. Deer right outside the cabin one eve. One thing I highly recommend they update is their coffee makers or give a voucher for their restaurant for coffee. They tried giving me extra pods for it & that did not make a difference.
