Upon entering our suite, we found filthy carpeting in the bedroom with a huge stain and some smaller ones. On our balcony, the paint was peeling from the window frame and decking. The steel framework was rusting. On our second day of a four day trip, my wife and I were told that due to COVID, they would not be providing any housekeeping services. For additional towels, TP, etc. we were told to go to the front desk. This property should take the word LUXURY out of their description. Even Motel 6 makes my bed.
We had a great weekend that was super hot to enjoy the outdoor pool. We stayed as a baseball team, so the kids loved playing in the pool together and the parents enjoyed hanging out. To me, it's always nice to be able to stay at a place that is not your typical hotel room. We had a one-bedroom suite. Ours was fairly outdated compared to our friends. The carpet in our suite needs to be replaced and the chair had holes in it. The coffee pot didn't totally drain when I used it. All the rooms are apparently individually owned, so decor and rooms will vary. I found out that our unit was for sale. The whole resort could probably use a facelift as rails outside are starting to rust, the indoor carpet looks older, etc. I guess it's just luck what room you end up with. Our room also just had a queen bed. If you need a king, I think you need to request that at booking. That being said, we had a nice peek-a-boo view of the lake from the deck. I would definitely stay again for the weekend. My review sounds a little negative, but overall, we had a great time.…
What a pleasant surprise for a romantic weekend escape during covid. The fully Furnished suite and patio were perfect and bed 🛏 top hotel quality. The pool and jacuzzi areas were immaculate and the outdoor pool even heated. Our room was ready so we were allowed to check in early. The young woman at the front Desk is from the area and was a great asset, representative, ambassador for the resort & community...put us on to a wine vineyard afternoon and some suggestions for area casual and fine dining and boat tour options. Look forward to coming back in spring, summer And fall to enjoy again. Also value priced when compared to some of the uppity Lake Geneva area resorts
My family stayed at Delavan Lake Resort in a beautiful two-bedroom, two bath, lake view suite. Check in was easy, no lines, and they had plenty of social distancing at both the indoor and outdoor pools. It’s great to be in an outdoor pool and have the sights and sounds of the lake right in front of you. The room as well as the hotel were spotless, and the associates all wore masks. The General Manager made sure to check in with us a couple of times to be sure that we had what we needed and give suggestions for dining. I highly recommend this resort (It’s a hidden gem) for the best guestrooms, and sunset in the evening, on beautiful Delavan Lake.
Christmas decorations were unbelievable! So beautiful everywhere we went at the resort. Huge firepit where we enjoyed chilly evenings. Rooms were nice and provided lodge type ambience. Restaurant dining room was OK. Meat served was somewhat dry and cost expensive. Very nice and well stocked gift shop. We are discussing making reservations for next Christmas. Also, close to snow activities. rooms were nice
