Although this review is rather late I believe it is still relative. Just to be on the mighty Zambezi river is one thing but to stay on a private Island leaves you so relaxed you do not want to go back to city life. The camp itself offers excellent accommodation in luxury tents with on suite facilities situated right on the banks of the river. The whole staff whether it be the camp manager, catering and bar or the fishing boat crews always greet you with a huge smile. Nothing is too much trouble for them and everyone really goes out of there way to ensure that you stay is one to remember. I have stayed in other lodges in this region which are also of high quality, but there is just that little bit of magic which makes this camp stick out. The rustic open air dining area also adds

The staff were warm and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation is excellent, it's a beautiful camp and absolutely perfect for the environment it's in. As for the location - simply magical. We were picked up from the airport and returned, via the Victoria Falls, to the airport without any problem. I can't wait to go back.

Was lucky enough to do a 3rd trip to Sekoma in May 2016 and was very happy to find nothing had changed. From the time Peter picked us up at Livingstone airport to the time he dropped us off 5 days later we had a fantastic trip. The location, accommodation, food an especially the service from everyone is superb. The fishing was very good although not as good as on our trip last year, but I think this was mainly due to the fact that we went a bit earlier this year and the river level was still quite high. Already looking at dates for next years trip!!!

What a great experience at Sekoma - we went there to fish but was blown away by the overall experience. Every meal was fantastic - especially the dinners, filled with stories of what we caught and what got away.

As an avid fishing family, my brother and I did and overland trip via Botswana to Kasane where we were transferred to Sekoma Island Lodge. The transfer went off very smoothly and we were immediately delighted by the setting at the lodge. In true Zambian fashion we were welcomed by the most accommodating staff and shown to our tented rooms, set with views of the river, very suitable with spotless en suites. The adventure lasted 5 nights and we were sad to leave. The most incredible fishing for tiger fish guided by super experienced boat skippers. This is a winner, don't hesitate just go....:)
