We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years. I knew there was an issue when we pulled up and there were tall weeds in the landscaping. This visit was not what we expect from Marriott brand. Upon arrival, my husband cleaned the windows and bathroom floor. This hotel has a lovely view of Huntington from it’s location on the hill. Unfortunately, our windows were dirty inside and out! Shoes stuck to the bathroom floor when you walked on it. There is a nice deck area to sit outside. Furniture is coming apart and the fire pit no longer works. We used to love this Fairfield, but will stay elsewhere in the future!
Nice hotel in a fairly industrial area up on a hill, but seemed to be quiet. Our room was nice and up to date, clean and spacious. No restaurants or shops within an easy walk, but not far if driving. Plenty of parking available. We enjoyed a restful night.
Check in was quick. Our room was comfortable enough. I did notice an odor when we entered. It might have been cleaning product, but I didn't find it pleasant. Breakfast was awful. I opted for eggs and turkey sausage which was so overcooked and cold it was like a hockey puck. I couldn't eat it. I tried the oatmeal. It was very runny and there were no toppings like raisins or sugar. After breakfast, we went outside to the patio. It was a beautiful morning. While the view was great, the patio itself needed a cleaning. We went to the one table but it was not clean. There were cigarette butts on the floor in various places. There was a small trash can overflowing with trash. When we tried to re enter the hotel, our key wouldn't work. Luckily there was someone there that could let us in.…
Checked in on July 1st. Amy was very kind and helpful. The room 102 was clean, the bed was too hard you could feel the springs in your back. The room door hinge needed oiling, way too squeaky. The back door exit glass and door bar was filthy! We booked 2 nights on Booking.com and 1 night through the Hotel itself my wife said the lady she talked (Which was Robin the General Manager) was very unprofessional and very rude. My wife has epilepsy and I do not appreciate the way she was spoken to. We WILL NOT be back. And detour anyone that ask us about this place!
All the staff we interacted with were personable and helpful. The entry area was clean and welcoming with sofas and chairs and flavored water. I love the entry cards that you just hold up to the door. They are so convenient I wish all hotels had them. The room was clean and the size was reasonable. There was a large table for computers and plenty of outlets. There was one small closet and 2 drawers. The beds were comfortable with 3 pillows on each bed. There was a small fridge and small coffee maker. It was quiet at night – yeah! The bathroom was immaculate – everywhere. The shower was extremely clean – the walls, liner, curtain, shower head with a good stream - did I mention immaculate? A great asset considering other bathrooms I've been in the last 3 nights. It also had nice storage for shampoo and soap. The only unusual thing was the towel hooks were behind the door and awkward to reach from the shower. The breakfast room was large, clean and airy. There were lots of choices, and the coffee was hot and fresh. We would definitely return.…
