I picked this place as i wanted to stay close to the mountain for an early start and i didn't fancy a chain motel. I stayed in one of the cabins, which was a little pricey for 1 person but sometimes you have to pay if you don't want a cookie-cutter experience. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They were very flexible when I made a last minute change to my plans. The site is green and quiet. The only drawback is the shared toilet- not fun when it rains all night and you have to go out... i guess it's like camping (which is possible as well if you bring your own tent and don't want a cabin). I look forward to coming back with my family for another visit to St Helens,

We stayed at the Eco Park Resort in July 2016 for three nights. The resort is in a lovely, rural setting and is near to the visitor centers and the nearest accommodation to Mount St Helens. We stayed in one of the cabins which was a fun experience. This is not five star luxury, but rustic with separate showers housed in a wooden huts which were clean and well maintained. The whole point of staying in Eco Resort is to be in the wilderness and enjoy the surroundings and not to be in some fancy hotel! Every evening there was a camp fire and the families gathered around to meet and the kids played soccer or threw a football, it was a nice end to the day. There is an onsite cafe offering a choice of basic meals in the evening and breakfast too. The owners and staff were exceptionally helpful and polite and made our stay a memorable one! Thank you

Close to the mountain but most importantly THE place to learn and find out about what really happened in 1980 from first hand experience of the owner who is an impressive raconteur. Really helpful staff and facilities are basic but clean

80 pistine acres run by the formost expert in tis area. No visitor center can bring this area to life better than the park owners. telephone service is dependant on 2 cell towers and intermittant, keep calling and emailing as we did, it was worth it.

I found Eco Park Resort while trying to find accommodations along the Spirit Lake Hwy, wanting to get as close to Mt. St. Helens as possible for an early start the next day. I only needed one night and thought for sure that trying to reserve only 2 weeks before Memorial Day weekend wasn't going to turn out well. Man, was I wrong! Thanks to Dawn I able to secure a lovely 4 person cabin at Eco Park but didn't realize all that came with it. Beautiful location, peaceful spacious grounds, a full service cafe, hiking trails, horseback riding, a communal fire, flushing toilets, hot showers, and the most friendly hosts you could ask for. Oh, and Mark even baked me a coconut cream pie on the fly! I would recommend Eco Park Resort to anyone... whether you're just in need of a jumping off point or looking for a full week's worth of woodsy adventure. My sister and I hope to make it back soon.
