Big sign on front entrance COVID-19 mask required. I had a mask and put it on. The numbers are going sky high again and I'm almost always wearing a mask inside. I mentioned to man at front desk that the mask requirement is for him also and he replied that he wouldn't be helping me someone else would and refused to wear a mask. I said he still needed to wear a mask. I had to repeat again that he needed a mask. He finally put one on and said something to the effect of am I satisfied. I said I was. In the mean time a woman came from the back room to check me in. I had reserved on line and she evidently had to re-enter all my info into her program. She wanted my id and wanted to see the credit card I was using to pay. I gave her both, she returned my cc but kept my drivers license. She took it over to the photocopier and I asked her why was she going to photocopy it. She said that the city of Fire required the hotels in the city to have a copy of the id of every guest in the hotel on file. She had also just handed me two pages to sign and on it there was the statement that the id needed to be verified there was nothing that said it needed to be on file. I put up a stink asking how long the photocopy was going to remain at the hotel and she said it would be thrown away at check out. I ask if it was going to be shredded and she said yes. I then decided because the clerk was as so rude to me that I didn't want to spend the night and ask for a refund. It was granted. I just realize that I didn't ask for my photocopy back. The man that didn't want to wear the mask said that the clerk whom was helping me could treat me rudely because I was treating her rudely. I mentioned that I responded to her attitude towards me. This Guesthouse Inn should not be part of the Red Lion family. I expect courtesy from the clerk. I expect them to follow the same COVID-19 rules that they ask the guests to follow. I expect the written requirements on the papers I sign to be followed not interpreted by a clerk to something absolutely unnecessary.

SORRY MAM YOUCAME IN WITH AN ATTITUDE WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF A SHIFT CHANGE SO HE WAS NOT HELPING YOU SOMEONE ELSE WAS AND NO ONE REENTERED ANYTHING AS A SAFETY MEASURE WE MATCH THE CARD WITH THE OWNER. WITH CREDIT CARD THEFT INCREASING I WOULD IKE THE CLERK TO VERFY .WHEN YOU HAVE A FREE MOMENT PLEASE LOOK UP THE FIFE CITY ORDINANCE ABOUT I D WHEN STAYING IN OUR HOTELS AND MOTELS WE OFFERED TO CALL THEM FOR YOU TO HAVE THEM EXPLAIN IT BUT YOU REFUSED THANK YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY

I was late checking out so he staff packed up my things ,and returned everything expect my expensive electronics like my cell phone, tablet laptop, Harmon kardin Alexa, and Dyson fan/heater/ purifier. They said I was being charged a smoking fee I said give me an invoice of my charges and I'll promptly pay you. No invoice has been given to me I've returned for the last three day. Employees said they can not produce an invoice and the managers owner and staff refused to give me my belongings. Even though the manager verified they had them and would give them if I paid . I told them I 3ould I just need an incoice. I also let them know retuning my this is not contingent on payment neither is my payment contingent on my belongings being returned. We both are responsible reguarless. I'm filing a police report and a small claims lawsuit.

My niece checked in on Friday Jan 6th and within a hour and a half she checked out. They would not refund her money. There was bugs in her room, the manager told her the bug she was able to take a picture of looked like lint. Before this incident, her fridge was full of water (disgusting) the air conditioner didn't work and they would not give her a new fridge and then came the bugs. Since last night we have been going back & forth from the motel and booking.com to get our money back and the motel absolutely REFUSES TO REFUND OUR MONEY AND SAID WE NEVER COMPLAINED & THEN THEY SAID THEY NEVER RECEIVED ANY EMAILS FROM BOOKING.COM, BUT BOOKING.COM READ THEM AND THEY SAID THEY REFUSE AND NOW THE MOTEL IS TELLING BOOKING.COM THAT WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH Agoda.com, because that's were the booking was from and we've never heard of them or have a reservation # from them. The front desk GUYS are very RUDE. I've also called the PIERCE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND REPORTED THE BUGS AND THE WATER IN THE FRIDGE ALONG WITH THE BROKEM AC.

We wanted to stay in Enumclaw so we could drive to Mt Rainier in the morning but due to four venues happening in the area we had to keep traveling west. We stopped at the GuestHouse in Auburn and they found some vacancies in Fife. We continued to Fife and even though it seemed to be a somehwhat old and run down motel we rented a room. We figured we'd at least have a bed for the night. We opened the door to the room and were met by a very strong odor. We weren't sure if it was paint or cleaning products. We opened the window, turned on the fan, and left to get a bite to eat. It was some better when we returned. Our room also had paint on the bed skirt, on the bases of the light fixtures, and some spots on the floor. The mattress was hard and the pillows pathetic. There was a carbs only breakfast except for milk for cereal. There was only one waffle maker with a line waiting to use it. Halfway through breakfast an employee started mopping the floor in the lobby next to the breakfast room. There was the strong odor! I had to leave the room as I became asthmatic. Is it necessary to mop during breakfast? This motel is way overpriced for what it is and I'm not sure about the cleanliness.

Moved my daughter to Kent and looked for a room nearby. Did I find a beauty! Great room, great staff, nice pool, quiet. Weird visitor rule..... none allowed after 10 pm unless you registered and paid a fee. Asked about it and got a vague answer that this was the rule for all hotels in Fife. 1 small problem. Power went out in the morning for an hour. Truck hit a pole. WIFI never did come back. Called desk 2 times about it and got no help. Small potatoes as it was free WIFI but still it shouldn't have taken 24 hrs to fix. HIGHLY recommend if you need a clean affordable room.
