Fantastic stay at the resort- an incredible location, wonderful and accommodating staff. Stayed during one of the largest snow events in a few years : the staff kept all walkways shoveled and well kept. Room was warm clean and cozy. The general store is great meeting point in town. Location on the river really phenomena. Gives the namesake “little Venice”. I have no complaints about my stay and would certainly return if I had the chance in the future!

My husband and I spent two nights here in early September in order to do some paddling on the lower Columbia River. We had the upstairs motel room with a balcony/river view. It was peaceful and very convenient. The room was small but well appointed and comfortable. We were able to watch the sunset and launched our boats from the dock. We walked to the Duck in for dinner on their outdoor deck but brought our own food for lunch and breakfast ( refrigerator in room). Would love to make another trip in the fall for more paddling. It's a very quiet area and saw only one other party in one of the condos while we were there so felt safe re covid.

If you are staying in one of the motel rooms, bring your own coffee pot! No in room coffee, and we were told we could get coffee in the store, but realized when I went to the store in the morning that they do not open the store until 10. There is no place close to get coffee unless you want to go to the restaurant close by. Our TV dish must have been out, we could not get the TV to work and it was after the store had closed. Could not get a hold of anyone via phone to see if they could fix the issue. It's super cute, clean, and bed was comfy. We had room #2 with a balcony. I would stay here again, but would bring my own coffee pot and make sure TV worked before the store closes so we can get a hold of someone if it doesn't. If not for these two issues I would have given them 5 stars. Very reasonably priced! Only $109 with tax for balcony room.

Our family comes up to Skamokawa at least once a year from California to visit family in the area. We just spent our 11th Vacation at Skamokawa Resort. We always opt for a condo as it has a full kitchen and room for the family to spread out. The rooms are always clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They have recently made some upgrades to the resort that were nice additions, there is now a built in fire pit with built in seating. My family loved sitting around the fire during the cool nights. There really isn’t much to do in Skamokawa and that’s why we come up year after year, it’s the most peaceful place and great for relaxation. We enjoy fishing off the dock, watching the ships go by on the Columbia River and going to the beach next door at Vista Park. We just left and are already counting down for next summer.
