Checking in I thought it was weird that they didn’t tell me the amount they where charging my card for incidentals later I found out it was $100 twice what the Fairfield inn charges which is like a block away. After I bring my stuff to my room I go down to use the hot tub they have listed as having but no hot tub just a super tiny pool. And in the morning about 6am I grabbed some breakfast unfortunately they didn’t have any hash browns to go with the powdered eggs and sausage. They also kept $16.67 of my deposit and I was never told why.
Lots of companies have made it standard to book your trip with a bundle: flight, room, transportation, etc. all from one place. Having been perpetually disappointed with travel websites who can never deliver better deals than going to directly to an airline's or hotel's site, I stumbled onto Southwest Vacations (having never even heard of it) by booking my flight directly. It suggested a huge list of hotels based on my specifications, and I settled on the Hampton Inn Seattle-Airport. Man, did I score a slapshot goal! Not only did the package save me $75 on the room, but the hotel is only a mile and a half from the airport, and it was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Everything in the room worked and I found no issues or problems (there was one hair in the toilet, but given how clean the bathroom was, that likely fell in AS everything was being cleaned; not a problem, at all.). The room was at the very end of the hall from the elevator, but the stairs were wisely built right there, so I actually had a direct shot straight to my room from the desk, and even got some quick exercise in. ;] I only stayed one night, so I didn't use the fitness center or social areas, but they looked to be quality amenities as I peeked in on them. C-19 restrictions have the hot breakfast on hiatus for now, but they do provide a breakfast box of a bagel & cream cheese, 2 hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, and either a banana nut, blueberry, or chocolate muffin. Without my asking, the wonderfully sweet Asian lady at the desk (her name is Thu, if I'm remembering correctly) just offered to give me a free sausage muffin that you usually have to buy (it was sealed in a wrapper, so no chance of anything being wrong with it). What a kind gesture! She was also super-sweet when I checked out. I actually forgot my hotel info, if you can believe it (hey, it's been awhile; I'm out of practice with travelling), so I initially went to the wrong Hampton. Instead of being abrupt or annoyed like other hotels that I've seen, the desk associate cheerfully got me to the right location. It would seem that Seattle Hampton staff is generally great (it could be that Seattle folks are generally great). I was thoroughly satisfied with the whole experience.…
Our room was clean and comfortable. The location is convenient to the airport. We walked to dinner at a nearby casino. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a park across the street from the hotel. The hotel is somewhat noisy because is is close to airport, trains, and highway.
Urine on bathroom floor. No washcloths and only one soap. An Airport Hotel and a missed wake up call !!! When the staff at the front desk was told, they were indifferent. No breakfast and the pool wasn’t even cleaned, ready and open for the Summer. A lousy non 5 star hotel.
The airport shuttle staff were great and timely on point every time you requested for their service. Hotel staff are really the definition of hospitallty. They will go extra miles to ensure your comfort
