My buddy and I were pretty tired after driving here from Montana in snowy weather. I phoned them from the road, and the young lady on the phone was friendly and efficient. I was glad that she let me know that the restaurant would be closed by the time of our arrival; she made sure that the cook would be ready for us in the lounge, which was still open. I had a good burger and some good local IPA. My buddy had some nachos, which he enjoyed. The atmosphere in the lounge was lively and merry, as it ought to be in a timber town on a Saturday night. The room (number zero) was perfectly okay--not luxurious, but clean and quiet.

I’m home now in central Washington, thinking I’d like to go get a Reuben sandwich for lunch today. Problem is, the sandwich I wants s about 3-1/2 hours again Randle. Tall Timber’s Reuben is one of the very best I’ve ever had. Fall-apart tender, flavorful corned beef with melty Swiss and a goodly portion of tangy sauerkraut. Served up uber hot on marble rye that was toasty, not soggy, with finger-burning French fries and a side of tarter that, for me, perfectly suited. Mid-day service was fast and friendly. I will be Bach (BACK, but the auto-error was so funny I had to leave it), and I will recommend.

Chose the room with a double and twin bed. The twin bed is a pull out couch. the room is adequate size, the bathroom small but clean (as is the rest of the room), the shower is great, shampoo and soap provided. The double bed was comfortable, the twin bed had a sag to it so I placed the mattress on the floor. The twin bed also had a mattress topper which made it very comfortable (when on the floor). Go to the restaurant to check in to the hotel. The young woman who helped us was very helpful and pleasant. The price was good for the area, I think it was good value for the money, and would stay there again.

Their menu offers numerous basic options, we mistakenly opted for the ribeye with green salad dinner, hoping for the best for the $19.95 pricepoint. Alas, the ribeye was fatty, gristly, chewy & the green salad had goldfish crackers instead of croutons. Keep to their basic options to do better. Server was attentive and premises were clean.

We stayed 2 nights here while visiting the in laws while they stayed at a nearby campground. The room is very small, the shower is small, the TV needs to be updated for sure. It is an about a 13" old school CRT TV mounted on the wall. We only spent our sleeping hours there, it was fine. We will be back the next time we are that way for a night. Again, don't expect much, but if you are just looking for a pillow to crash on for a couple of night, then this is the place for you.
