Bed bugs and roaches are friendlier than the staff!!!! New manager same staff they do not clean the rooms and the towels after you beg for some are dirty rags. This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life and they were extremely rude. Paid for the whole month but left the first week. They refunded none.
For my first review, look for Longview Inn on Google. As this is the name of the hotel. This "Economy Inn" is the same place. My guess is they are trying to hide the poor reviews. In case you did not read my first review, here it is again. It was a terrible hotel. We were simply exhausted and had no other options. We were not welcomed nicely, in fact provided a swipe card that did not work, but she had said she was closing so we were left not knowing what to do. Got this sorted to get into our lovely palace for the night. I made my partner stop complaining because I didnt care how bad it was I had been up for almost 24 hours traveling from Montreal to Calgary then Calgary to Portland. I checked the bed, on the left side, which was a big mistake, because the bugs were hiding on the right. Barley slept, either of us, and woke up to full size bugs crawling on us and the hotel blanket, our pillows and our blanket. Naturally freaked out, threw our stuff in garbage bags and showered. No decent soap is provided just a tiny bar, and barley any hot water. I really wish I took a picture of the stained linens which resulted in us air drying ourselves. It was not even 5 am when all this happened and after the scary knock on the landlord(?)s door we just high tailed it out of there. We stayed in room 122 As mentioned, they have a sign on the front desk offering a Starbucks gift card for good reviews on google. now we know why. The owner responded to my first review to say they would provide a refund and a free night stay (no thank you to ever staying again) but then we are not able to get through on the only phone number we can find (360-353-3344) and they have never reached out to me even though I left my phone number on the internet for them to call (403-510-1921) I am embarrassed to say I work in accommodations and finally got caught in this situation. I have been prepared on how to deal with the situation if it happened but that doesnt change the fact that we have to pay to have everything sprayed including our home. These bugs were NOT babies. They were adults, meaning they had been there for some time. Just because you have a mattress protector does not mean you avoid bugs. It requires continuous maintenance. Regardless, no one should stay in this hotel until they fix their problem. And know that they do not compensate for anything, have poor service and quality so regardless of the bugs do not stay there.…
We booked this place because it appeared to be economic and the reviews were generally good. Please disregard them. It's location is inconvenient for travellers. The place would have been much better if only described as run-down. We found that the place, although not having physical trach on the floor, appeared to have a sticky film on the floors and needed a thorough steam cleaning. The TV was tiny and was left on which may have indicated not patron occupancy. The bathroom had a recent bleach cleaning (strong odour). The shower operated but was significantly affected by toilet flushes. The tub was tiny. The Towels small and worn (bleach cleaned). The place was noisy with many patrons, we found out from a long term resident (not confirmed), being placed there by social services as overflow. The tiled floors eliminated the dirty rug problem inherent in many budget hotels but this created a very noisy evening as we were in a ground floor room and the running of children in the room above reverberated through the floor. The office appeared to be closed early (9:30pm instead of the posted 11:30pm).They required an additional deposit which we understood was for pets that some guests tried to hide. Be careful about this as the office only opens up at 9am so you will not be able to retrieve your deposit if you are leaving before then which we expect many travellers will. Please avoid this hotel if you are able. See photos.…
room was very nice and well kept very enjoyable to stay in. bed was clean floors were clean shower was very nice and clean water heated right up and it didn’t smell like someone had smoked in. would recommend!
I came here with my boyfriend on the weekend and I have to say the experience was wonderful. The bedrooms have been upgraded from old style furniture into a new modern look. The room we stayed in was a Queen bed with a single bathroom. The sheets are soft and clean, the bathroom polished and assembled with necessities, and a flat screen tv on the wall! What I loved the most is the floor is covered in tiles and not carpet! Carpets always seem skeptical to me, you never know what germs are hiding inside. The owners are a lovely couple who were humorous and kind to chat with in our free time, also. I would come here again!
