Just pulling into the parking lot of the hotel was enough to know I didn't want to stay there. Multiple rooms had windows boarded up with plywood and it appears the clientele was paying by the hour rather than by the night. It was literally the trashiest hotel I have ever seen. On top of that, we booked 4 days before our trip, yet when we arrived, we were rudely told that the hotel had overbooked, there was no room available, and we needed to call the site we booked it through to get our refund... except we had booked through *their* parent company, Choice Hotels. The woman at the front desk barely bothered to even look up at us and was not interested in solving THEIR error. I then had to spend more than an hour on the phone with Choice Hotels confirming that my stay would be canceled and I would not be charged for the room. The customer service representative I spoke with had to call the hotel but was never able to get through because the line just rang and rang. Our night was eventually canceled, but this left us without a hotel room, with three kids, at 8:00 at night and during all of this not one person was interested in helping us find a new place to stay.

We pulled into the parking lot with reservations already made only to have the driver's side window filled by a rough looking fellow, claiming to be the manager, very rudely bark at us, " what are you here for". We replied that we had reservations and he then told us, " we are all full, you need to leave, Now!". I was taken aback by the rudeness and looked around the parking lot and noticed it was partially filled with people hanging about in groups lounging against cars and the like and our so called "manager", had wondered over to one of those and was chatting and lighting a smoke laughing. I began to doubt the situation so I go in and tell the person at the front desk my name and reservation number and she says ok I have your room. I then told her what just took place in the parking lot, and she assured me he was no employee there and she would see about chasing all the people loitering there off immediately. I check in and we drive around towards the back of the building where our room was, noticing the parking lot was completely full and there were people( what looked to be hookers and drug dealers), hanging about everywhere. As we drive around we are accosted 2 more times by people wanting to know why we were there and telling us there are no rooms to leave. By the time we found our room and realized there was no space to park anywhere in the property, we were thoroughly convinced we would possibly be robbed or our car stolen b4 Dawn if we stayed. Without even stopping to see the room we continued around to the front door and I went in and told the lady at the desk what had just happened and that we hadn't even made it to our room yet and requested a refund. She apologised and gave me my refund . I truly feel bad for her having to deal with that at her job, she handled it the best she could I suppose but, I still would not recommend anyone to stay there. I know I will avoid it like the plague.

I have stayed here before and knew better but it was the only place left in town. That said, I should have gone to Seattle or SeaTac or anywhere else. My reservation was for 2 queen beds and was $100 a night through Expedia. We got there and they got us checked in fairly quickly. When we got up to the room we found a box and papers on one of the beds, apparently they had just installed a new smoke detector. I needed to change so attempted to close the blinds. I found that they were missing half of the little hangers and that there was no good way to secure them closed. Went into the bathroom to change and it was less than clean. Having changed, we went to lunch and came back to put stuff we didn't want to take in the room. Key card won't work. I went down to the lobby to get it fixed and the attendant let me know that the room was not even supposed to be rented but that they were overbooked and were actually calling people to try and get cancellations. They got the key working again and we did our thing and went to our show. When we got back we were both tired and sweaty wanting nothing more than a shower and bed. Guess what, no handle for the faucet!!! I tried calling down to the front desk but no answer. The next morning I went down and complained, they looked but had nowhere to move us. Fortunately, the maintenance guy was there and he lent me some pliers for the rest of our stay. The lady at the counter told me that we could discuss my rate when I checked out. Went to our show that day and got back and cleaned up. I wanted to watch some TV so I tried to turn it on with both remotes, no luck. After a closer look I found that the TV didn't even have a cord. Next morning when we checked out the attendant refunded 100 of the 205 I spent on this dump. Seriously, this place is not worth 25 a night!!! Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else, even your car is better!!!

Booked Rodeway Inn Fife,WA since it was close to Tacoma Dome for Queen Concert. This hotel should not be offered to anyone to stay at. Dirty , disgusting, drug house, homeless house, multiple families one room plus their dogs, trash everywhere. We had no towels , no soap, burnt holes and stains on blanket. Door been kicked in, no latch .put desk and chair up against door to try and sleep after concert. Could not get out of there soon enough in morning.
