This “resort” is outrageously past its prime. It is way overpriced for the value received. Check-in is 4pm. We arrived a little early and were told we’d be called when our room was available. We never received a call. We ended-up coming back at 15 minutes before check-in time and were told our room was ready for our two-night stay. The room was large enough and was clean. The outdoor area, however, was littered and in bad need of common weed and litter control. The restaurant is at the golf course and only open from 8am until 3pm. On our second day our key card would not open the door. This required a trip to the office to have our cards redone. While walking around the grounds we noticed weeds growing out of the rain gutters. Clearly, this property is not being properly maintained and cleaned. Our room was not cleaned after our first night even though we placed the card in the slot indicating we wanted the room cleaned while we were out for the afternoon. All in all, we were not overly impressed with this property. We will find alternative lodging when visiting the Carson/Stevenson area in the future.

We had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at this “resort” because of a family wedding near by. It was one of the lodging options recommended by the wedding venue. We arrived at 2:15 and were informed by the very unpleasant manager that check in was at 4. We knew that and explained that the wedding was at 4. He was very snippy and said that other people had the same request and the earliest he could do was 3. Ok, fine but there would be a massive rush of people trying to check in at the golden hour of 3 (hotel was sold out mainly due to wedding guests) and he showed no common sense by allowing people to at least start the check in procedure. The manager is poorly suited for a customer service )oh. When my daughter was checking in, he began smelling his arm pits. When his co-worker questioned what he was doing, he replied “I’m very sensitive to smell” which caused my daughter to respond, “well, it isn’t me that smells!”. Honestly….the weirdest thing ever. Second……waaaaayyy over priced for a run down out dated hotel that had ants and other unidentifiable bugs crawling on the wall. We didn’t have time experience the other amenities bc we couldn’t wait to check out in the morning never to return.

My family and I stayed her for a weekend. We stayed in the hot tub room. The resort is nice and it was great to relax with your own mineral water hot tub on your balcony. The resort does need some updating and they need better customer services. That being said it was a restful weekend and I would visit again.

It's our 2nd time staying in Carson and this time I booked a room with private hot tub to celebrate my husband's birthday. To our surprise, we checked into the room and saw an uncleaned and messy room. We went back to the front desk and asked for an exchange, and they showed us a room in another building which is very old. The room looks like a employee living facility. They said they would charge $200 for that employee's room and issued us a refund for such downgrade. We said no we don't like that room and it was not worth $200. Finally we got assigned to a hotel room which is the one we booked. But this time we found some leftover food from previous guest in the fridge. When we checked out, we saw only men cleaning the room and none of them wear mask. We will not be back.

My boyfriend and I got a room for the weekend of my birthday. The website makes it seem like a nice rustic resort with top of the line amenities and great customer service. We booked the king suite with a hot tub on the balcony. The hot tub was wonderful! The kitchen area was cute, the bed was average. The robes in the bedroom were SO stiff, like a beach towel that has dried after being soaked in salt water. The living room furniture needed an upgrade, the TV was pretty small for how big the room is, the pillows were super flat and uncomfortable. The mineral soak you can buy overpriced is just a glorified bath. And the towel wrap afterwards is literally just being wrapped in blankets for 20 minutes. The town is super quaint and small, and the nearest larger town is about 10-15 minutes away. The biggest thing that turned us off was the customer service. We showed up in the evening about an hour before close, my boyfriend had called in advance to say that we were showing up in the evening because we live three hours away ,and the front desk manager was not polite about it. He was not friendly, he seemed inconvenienced to be dealing with us, he talked too fast to even understand him and never made eye contact. We walked up to the desk numerous times with two people standing there and NOBODY acknowledged us at all until we said something. Overall, the room was WAY too overpriced for what you get and the customer service is terrible. Find somewhere else to stay that's worth the money.
