The Williamsburg Inn is a beautiful place to stay. The only food I can complement on was the breakfast which was fantastic and had different choices to choose from that weren’t ordinary breakfast. They do need to open back up for full dinners however. I highly recommend staying. The beds did seem on the hard side as well as the pillows but it is overall beautiful.

Hotel's Favourite
I’ve just completed a four night stay at the Inn. Like the rest of the world, my travels have been significantly reduced due to the virus. Since Europe was no longer an option, and after being home bound for nine months I looked for a few days of rest in either Palm Beach or in Williamsburg. I chose Williamsburg as I had traveled here previously and knew that the Inn would be taking exceptional precautions. The entire community of this historic district was operating at limited capacity and while that was disappointing, the crowds were also deminimis. I booked a package at the Inn that included tickets and daily breakfast. From the moment that I drove up and was greeted by a gracious bellman I felt as though I was returning to a friend’s home. Check in was efficient and with the aid of my bellman I arrived in an exceptionally large and luxurious room that overlooked the golf course. The room, as expected, was impeccably maintained and exceptionally nice - all of the necessary amenities with the little added plus of complimentary bottled water and in-room coffee maker. Breakfast was served either on the terrace or a small dining room, was excellent with a great number of options, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The limited dining options at the Inn, while disappointing, were through an abundance of precaution by the management. I both respected and appreciated that this fabulous hotel was still operating under the new world conditions that we now experience. I have been a donor to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation for forty years and seeing how admirably the Inn was handling the pandemic made the experience even more rewarding and made me proud to say that I support Colonial Williamsburg. It was kind of so many staff members to take the time to say “thank you” for being there. I look forward to my next visit to the Williamsburg Inn and say to the staff “job well done” despite the most challenging time of our lives. Thank you!

We arrived by train from DC and were greeted by a kind gentleman at the train station who shuttled us to the hotel in their vehicle. Check it was great, the property was pristine, and the room was nice and spacious. We alway enjoy having a beverage at the hotel bar and this experience was AMAZING. Roberto was incredible and made us want to go back to visit him at the bar daily while we were there. The drinks and conversation were perfect. On the last day of our stay we inquired about transportation to the train station the next morning. There are only two trains a day from DC and we had to take the 5:45am train. The question to the staff was met with more of a "shoulder shrug" and bewilderment when we asked about transportation to the station which was over a mile away. The concierge told me they didn't run their shuttle that early and then handed me a card with the local taxi number on it. I called the taxi service only to be told "oh, we can't do that" and then we tried uber and lyft which did not have cars available. I was extremely frustrated and asked if no one every took the trains to their properties but they had no idea how to help us - which was BAFFLING at a 5 star hotel! We then got up at 4:45 the next morning and tried all the services again and still there were no taxis, uber or lyft options. So we had to walk over a mile, in the rain, with our luggage to the train station - from a five start hotel property. The hotel and property around it are THE destination in town and why people visit so it makes zero sense they don't have an option to help guests get to/from the train. We would have happily paid a fee to be transported but that wasn't an option either. I also contacted the hotel directly over 4 days ago and received no reply so I have to result to this review. Very disappointing end to what could have easily been a great experience. We do not plan on returning.

We stayed in a suite at the end and it was clearly first class. Fresh flowers, nice amenities in room, good wifi, everything worked! All the staff are polite and helpful and the food service was also very good.

The Williamsburg Inn is elegant, the food is delicious, the location is perfect, and the staff are not only courteous but very caring. We just came back from Williamsburg where it was over 90 degrees. Like all hotels, they are still short on staff from the covid pandemic. As a result, food service was not available every hour of the day. Late one extremely hot day, an older couple (they were guests there) came needing food. The gentleman looked like he was close to distress. Since there was nothing open inside the Inn, the bellman drove them to an airconditioned café just outside the historic area. WOW We save up so we can stay at the Inn when we go to Williamsburg. It is worth every penny.
