Clean well appointed rooms and bathrooms. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Mood lighting a very nice touch. Check in and out efficient. We chose a busy time for breakfast, not enough staff on to cope with the rush. The ones that were on were polite, happy and calm though.
We visited 24 November, for a family celebration. The room was comfy and clean. We do visit this hotel often and sadly I have to make the same observations, with little attention or response. My gripes are the Breakfast for £9 each, is awful, as just full of grease and rather bland. Since they have done away with the Table Table service of an evening, it seems the standard has dropped and very expensive considering you are right in the heart of town with many eateries locally.
Staff are always friendly and polite. The food is very good and service is usually quite quick. The rooms are clean and of a good size. I've stayed many times at this Premier Inn and will very likely stay here again in the future.
My parents & young nephew stayed here for 2 nights in a family room. Room was a decent size and beds were comfortable. Check in was quick and the guy on the desk was polite & friendly.
Breakfast on Saturday morning was a shambles. Very understaffed, nobody knew what they were doing, hardly any continental options left, not a buffet breakfast & had to go and find a waitress to take our order after waiting 30 minutes for someone to come over.
Dinner on Saturday evening was very enjoyable. Lots of choice, everything was fresh. Thank you to the manager for accommodating us despite being fully booked.
This is our 2nd stay here, it’s ideal for us to stay here and get the train in to London. The chap at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Room was ok, on the 2nd floor facing the car park. It was cold when we first went in but that was only because the cleaner left the window open. I had the best night sleep the first night, bed was very comfortable. Only criticism was the shower, very basic and shower curtain had mould on it. Breakfast at the beefeater next door was good. Good stay, will use this premier inn again.
