This is our 2nd visit to this hotel after staying over New Year, we loved it There was a hiccup at the start of the holiday which was very quickly rectified. Complementary bubbles and fruit were delivered to our room which was most appreciated. We were half board, breakfast and evening meals were excellent. We did eat out on quite a few nights as the restaurants in corralejo are excellent also. Try Casa Malano, amazing. The hotel staff are fabulous, the go above and beyond to make sure you have the best time. They're not in your face but everyone is so polite, helpful and extremely professional but friendly. We will return over the New Year with friends. Muy bien, hasta luego.

Hotel's Favourite
Great hotel. Top location close to all the action and short walk to the town’s beaches. Corralejo is very chilled and a really friendly vibe with mostly Spanish people as far as I could tell. The pool is great and plenty of loungers. Some people still love to throw their towel on a lounger before breakfast but still plenty spare and there was always one if we needed. Whenever we went out for the day we were always looking forward to getting back for a dip in the pool and for dinner (we were half board). Some reviews have questioned the dinner but we really enjoyed it. Our favourites included: paella, mushroom risotto, cuttlefish, black rice, goat stew, various fish dishes including a couple of really great options they serve next to the cooking station, Canarian potatoes, ceviche, various cheeses, chorizo, Jamon Serrano, carpaccio of beef and tuna. They don’t have everything every night and there was always something new every night to choose from. If you want to eat out there are loads of great places too especially in the old town and it’s not expensive to eat here and it’s a nice vibe in the old town. The staff at the hotel have without exception been excellent. Always friendly and helpful. While I’m here I’d suggest hiring mountain bikes (can do it through Barceló) and cycling up to the volcano caldero hondo. I’d have liked to go further to the beaches beyond at el cotillo but we didn’t have time . What we did see if the coastal rout from cotillo to corralejo was great though. Bring lots of water! Also I recommend the boat trip to los lobos for the day with the ferry naviera nortour . Just book online in advance (gets busy) and they sort out your pass to get on the island as part of the ticket . Ok, so rooms are great and entertainment low key. All in all highly recommended. I’ll take a pic from the balcony.....

This was a first time stay for my wife and myself - who travelled with friends who had visited previously. Having friends set high expectations, we were not disappointed. The hotel staff - all of them - are an absolute credit to Barcelo. The quality of the food and rooms was excellent. Thankyou for a wonderful relaxing break. We will be back. (Hopefully soon.)

Just back from a week away in Barcelo Sands and very sad to be back at work! Firstly, the location is great with a short walk to all amenities and the old town and supermarkets at the end of the road which is very handy. We went in June and there were still plenty of sunbeds available most days (some days were busier but still managed to get a bed easily). We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which was a great addition to the holiday and very appreciated. Also, our flight was late evening and the hotel had prepared a small packed lunch which was a great idea after a long day travelling (ham and cheese sandwich, orange and yoghurt). The room was nice and big and very clean, with a view of the pool and late evening entertainment so this allowed us to listen from the balcony on a few nights. We did have a small issue with an ant invasion (probably our fault for leaving biscuits out and not in the fridge!) however, when I told the reception this was rectified straight away and a complimentary gift set of creams were given too! The hotel breakfast is a buffet with a variety of hot and cold food. I'm fairly picky so just stuck to the full english most mornings and enjoyed it. For breakfast there were always tables free everyday. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to and from the sand dunes/large beach that we went to one day. Bus leaves at 10:30am and back at around 4ish but a taxi back to Corralejo was only 7.50 euros - well worth doing. Also booked a water taxi to Lobos island. Another good morning out of the hotel exploring and worth doing - although hold on tight as the waves can get a little bumpy! Make sure you go to Music square in the old town at least once to listen to the live music as this was great! Good bars and restaurants around. Could go on more but the gist is above - all in all a great holiday after the pandemic lock downs and would highly recommend for a stress free break!!

Typical Barcelo hotel. Extremely well maintained, clean and tidy. Very quiet for a town centre hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Really liked the honeycomb oozing the honey out into a large bowl. Recommend the seafood pizza at the pool bar.

Stayed at the Barcelo Sands on an all inclusive basis for a week with 7 adults and a 18months old, and this place did not disappoint. There are not enough words to explain how great our stay was! The staff are a credit to Barcelo, and this is a great hotel: Pool Bar - order off the menu, the meal you want. International branded drinks ( Tanqueray G&T ) amongst a wide variety of options. Breakfast and Evening Meal - buffet style, plenty of options in the main restaurant. Staff- Michael, Susana, Alexis, Angel, Rebecca, we’re all amazing, and thank you for making our holiday so special. Location - literally off the main strip, but setback to not notice where you are. Cleanliness- spotless Will we return - absolutely!!!

Hotel was spotless, check-in was quick. Had a room overlooking the pool, very spacious and cleaned everyday. Two free bottles of water on arrival, fridge for guests to use and a kettle with the coffee etc replenished everyday. Pool area was chained off and not open until 9am so no rush for beds, pool is sea water so a bit cold but once you are in it was great. You are given pool towels and a card so you can exchange for fresh ones. Went half board, lots of variety for both breakfast and dinner. Food always hot and lots of choice. Every member of staff greeted you with a smile, always busy and willing to help. Hotel is near to everything, literally just walk around the corner and there are shops and restaurants. Couldn't fault this hotel at all. From start to finish we had a great holiday. Thankyou to everyone at barceló sands for a great holiday. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

Just returned from this hotel after 10 near perfect days. This hotel definitely punches above its price bracket. On arrival we was greeted with a chocolate dessert and a bottle of fizz in our room as it was my birthday that day, the room was large with a lovely big bathroom and superb shower our bed was a large double and the room had a nice little balcony with table n chairs, the room was absolutely spotless and smelt so clean this standard was kept up to everyday. Walking round the hotel i never saw anything dirty everywhere was immaculate. The pool area at first did not look massive but again was cleaned every day before anyone was allowed to put towels on beds again i never saw a damaged / broken bed or parasol, also i must point out i never saw any time when there was not sunbeds available, only very slight issue for this soft lad was pool was cold when entering. Food - As with most of our holidays in europe we was all inclusive the this was one of the best we have had breakfast and evening meal was buffet style but always plenty of choice. Lunch was in the pool side bar from an a la carte menu from pizza to steak and most things in between it was fantastic. Drinks again a very large extensive menu and mostly name brands plus a list of freshly made cocktails. And finally the staff, every single person that worked here that we came across was amazing, so cheerful and friendly and always happy to make our experience as good as possible. This hotel is a must stay if you are going to Coralejo.

Thought we would give this hotel a try as we stayed in the Barcelo Bay a few months ago. It was very nice but not as nice as its sister hotel. The rooms were modern spacious and comfortable but not so keen on the glass sliding door to the bathroom which offered little privacy when using the bathroom particularly in the middle of the night. The balcony was a good size and being on the 2nd floor we had the sun all day. It was quiet at night which was good but could be a little noisy with balcony furniture being dragged early in the morning. Breakfast was good and plenty in offer, we didn't eat in the restaurant at night so can't comment in that. The pool area was nice and could usually get a sun lounger but the pool was quite cold, even in May/June. Reception staff were really helpful and for a small charge we were able to keep our room on departure day a little longer, however checkout was at 12pm instead of the usual 10am.
