    I was back to this hotel last week and it's service (front desk, bar and restaurant) is awesome. Rooms are big and clean. If you are in Porto and need a hotel, this is one of them. Well communicated. Restaurant has a basic night menu but enough after a long day visiting or working. Will be back soon. …

    Perfect stay in Porto
    Beautiful, wide and clean rooms. Nice view from the top of the hotel where there is the breakfast and dining room. The position is perfect because under the hotel there is the metro station which can get you to the city centre in 15 min maximum. Kind and competent staff. Highly recommended! See you again! …

    The Black Tulip is conveniently located about 15 to 20 min walk into the old city. However, should you wish to use public transport, a tram stop is located very close to the hotel. We were very pleased with the hotel, clean, nice room, great shower. We stayed on a B&B basis but availed of dinner one evening. The food was great - even had delicious moist maidera cake for breakfast each morning!! Only complaint - the bar wasn't manned one night but maybe that's an Irish thing!! All in all, a lovely stay and would have no hesitation in returning.…

    Its across the river opposite side from the old city about 25 mins walk into old city & 5mins on metro. Has a metro station right outside the hotel and a good service into old town. Hotel rooms are good, good view from resturant off city, the bar downstairs is small and you have to call staff for drinks but it worked out good. Breakfast is good.…

    Nothing special
    Good hotel (4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) but it lacks some charm. There is nothing wrong with the place, but also - there's nothing that will make your eyes pop. It lacks that wow factor. Staff is neat and they speak english perfectly.
