Incredible. Amazing food, hosting, pool, area. Very good price for such a personalized experience. They looked after our kids whilst we ate. The food and drink was all local and beautiful. Never been so well fed. Our children (4,2) loved it

Ignore the negative reviews. Stefano and his wife were lovely hosts and the agriturismo zio christogram is a charming rustic retreat ideal on our cycling trip. A great evening meal with lots of home sourced product. When my daughter took ill Stefano took the trouble to give us a lift to the nearest railway station to catch a train up to Naples for our flight home.

We travelled a very long way to stay at their single story house called La Cassetta. 7 nights in September half board €840. Having read good reviews we were shocked by what we found. We arrived in late afternoon, tired but optimistic. This did not last long. On the weed infested patio where 2 broken, wooden deckchairs and a grubby drying rack. The entrance loggia had 4 chairs with broken seats, a plastic table cloth repaired with band-aid tape and a pile of dried up cleaning cloths was stuffed into a wall shelf. The entrance door was half glazed, dirty glass. The room described as part kitchen part sitting room had a single bed in it and again a disgusting plastic table cloth on the table. The fridge had mould, even mould in the ice cubes in the freezer part!! The pictures on the wall showed frames thick with dust. Everything to do with the kitchen was sticky and grubby. Broken draws …. Nowhere that felt clean or where food could be stored until the fridge was cleaned. The Internet service proved to be useless and we had to use our phones instead. We changed the pillow cases with the spare ones we brought, to discover stained pillows, did what cleaning we could then went to have the evening meal we had paid for. Following the disappointing meal, we decided to speak to the lady proprietor. She worked as a teacher and would come and see us the following morning after work. Breakfast was a mean offering and no chance of an espresso coffee!! The husband sat as we entered the breakfast buffet but no greeting. Our feelings so far was of shock and disbelief. 30 years of holidays in Italy, 15 years living there, we had never ever come across such a place. We felt they had given up trying. The meeting with the lady owner was stormy. We should have packed up and left but we had paid a significant deposit which she would not refund. She wanted to charge us the total sum and had our credit card details to do so. It was agreed Anna would clean, no meals and we would pay in cash €300 making the cost of our stay just under €500. We regretted not leaving but an effort was made and a new plastic tablecloth and mat for the bathroom was provided. 2 white plastic garden chairs and the gardener cut the patio weeds. Unfortunately whilst washing their soiled mattress cover Anna would not sleep on, she fell ending up in hospital. We have posted photographs of the accommodation which speak for themselves.

The gentlemen were very old and very large, they had difficulty walking to reach the restaurant. They asked not to have breakfast and dinner anymore They asked not to have breakfast and dinner anymore. For the breakfast they wanted croissant e brioche, and no our wonderful genuine products (tomatoes, jams, goat cheese, homemade tarts, ecc). For the dinner they wanted fast food, and no our wonderful vegetables at km 0 and homade pasta (ravioli, fusilli, cavatielli. The lady booked a rustic house and wanted to turn it into a suite He always wanted something: 2 new chairs, new tablecloths, new carpets, new lamps, etc. We have always given you everything with great patience, but the lady has always been nervous. They only paid what they told them and no as from e-mail. They were old Germans different from our usual German friends, best regards

After a day cycling the pool was very good and in a nice quiet peaceful place. Thank you to everyone we would recommend this to anyone. Julie and David, Harrogate, Yorkshire, UK
