The managers are really friendly and hospitable. They accommodated all requests with courtesy and attention. You could work a little more on the rooms of course. To be alone, mine was spacious. Hot water and two sets of towels provided

Beautiful building, probably once religious, in a wonderful ancient village with a beautiful basilica and stunning mountain views. Old-style but clean rooms with television. Particularity, in the desk drawer there was a Bible and a gospel book according to St Lucas, never seen that in a hotel. In the other rooms there were also Bibles. Very pleasant welcome, abundant but simple food. Note, small sheltered lounge with good armchairs outside, very pleasant.

A friend we were travelling with booked 4 of us here for 5 nights, so not sure what to expect.

A very pleasant, family run business with on-street parking (we were told that you could park within the hotel area at extra cost but the space is restricted and we didn't have any problems parking opposite the hotel).

The hotel is marketed as 'Bed & Breakfast' but with due notice you can arrange an evening meal cooked by the owner's brother - very capable cook. Fish variations are the main options (with the usual pasta dishes) and the produce is brought in fresh - hence the need to book in the morning. We enjoyed some very pleasant meals served with local wines, competitively priced.

Breakfast was limited to cereal, croissants and cake (no cold meats or cheeses) with a range of coffees and red orange juice.

Two of us stayed in a room with large double bed and separate single bed - very clean with full sheet/pillowcase change within our stay. A small balcony overlooked the adjacent property.

There was an en-suite shower room (with bidet) - the towels had seen quite a bit of service but again, fresh and clean. Tablet soap provided with combined shower gel/shampoo dispenser.

The external seating area is very pleasant (nicely shaded in the afternoon) with gated access to the nearby beach (towels provided for bathing on request).

Igor (the dog) can be a little vocal but not enough to disturb a night's sleep (although the beds are a bit hard).

The staff are very pleasant, making for a friendly and competitively priced stay.

Unfortunately the sea is not like other Calabrian beaches and there are no services. Away from the center about 40 minutes walk but there are no sidewalks you have to have a car. Near the Train, for Half Inn costs more than 100 euros per day to have a room without bidet and with a tiny shower. Elevator to the mezzanine floor. Little courtesy the last day we stayed there to the person who picked us up from one of the owners. I couldn't wait to leave. We had to pay everything as soon as we arrived despite the deposit and we had to immediately pay for dinner just eaten or if we took a bottle of water.

TERRIFYING experience, this property is to be closed!
Dirty and foul-smelling environments, the rooms are ditches, sheets with stains everywhere, old mattresses, bathrooms comparable to urinals, dirt everywhere!
Noisy old and dusty air conditioners. The structure is in the middle of nowhere and located near the passage of a train, I let you imagine the noise and fear at every run!
This place is not worth 90€ per day, and not even 50€ maximum 20€ for those who settle for the pitiful state and what is described!
I could tell you other details but I prefer to give you the conclusion... WE RAN AWAY!!!
DO NOT BOOK!!

In a beautiful area that has not yet been spoiled by mass tourism, but is still close to it (Tropea, 25 km), on the Tyrrhenian Sea in southern Calabria. Typical 3-star hotel, located almost directly on the wonderful sandy beach in Vibo Marina.
Excellent for free parking, plenty of space on the quiet street, right in front of the hotel! The manager of the hotel is very friendly, check-in is quick and uncomplicated, with introductory words! Lift available. Small, very personally run hotel!! Room is sufficiently spacious, decent bed, large balcony, with a side view of the sea!!! Quiet area all around. In the room everything you need, shower cubicle. Like in a *** star in southern Italy, no frills but everything functional and clean.
Breakfast outside under palm trees, very cozy! Served by the manager himself, who gives you the feeling that he is happy and attentive to his guests!!!! A bit of Italian, a bit of English.
Breakfast with bread, croissants, jam, sausage, cereals, simple but tasty!
Infrastructure about 1 km away, a few bars, restaurants, shops, but everything in the character of a quiet place.
The district capital Vibo Valentia is about 15 minutes away, with a castle and great views of the region!!!
We were very satisfied if you don't want luxury, and the location is very good (close to the beach, quiet place). The only annoying thing was the railway line that runs next to it, where trains rattle through even at night.

I will make a list of this 3 STAR hotel
Breakfast: embarrassing, frozen croissants, old biscuits, cheap cakes from the discount store, orange juice diluted with water. They don't have iced tea. Nothing salty.

Room: small and dirty. Hair everywhere
Bed: uncomfortable with springs
Terrace: Dirty is a compliment, cigarette butts and hair everywhere.

Bathroom: small, without bidet and without window.

Shower: unworthy, dirty with the door half broken and so small that you can't turn around.

Sea View? Meh! In fantasy

To better understand I attach some photos

The owner Francesco and his brother Leonardo are friendly, staff od the hotel is great. This B&B 50m from the beach, it is very accessible. The rail track goes by the hotel but it is not disturbing. There are only a few passenger trains a day from Lamezia to Tropea and from Tropea to Lamezia. We used a lot this meaning of public transport. It was cheap, fast and comfortable. We used it for transport to airport Lamezia as well. Unfortunately there is no train stop near hotel but doesnt matter. We walked into town, about 20 minutes, there is a train station. Two times Francesco and Leonardo friendly took us to town by their cars. Nice hotel, nice staff, nice native people, nice beach, nice sea... 4 members family we have great, active and pleasant 2-week holidays in July.

The owners are friendly and their hospitality welcoming. This B&B is just back a bit from the beach, but very accessible. There was a slight view of the sea from our balcony. We walked into town, about 20 minutes, but not much to see. Unfortunately, the weather was hot and the air full of forest fire smoke. In nicer weather the stay would have been more pleasant.
