Detailed Reviews
From the minute we pulled up outside the hotel, we knew it was going to be great. We were greeted and shown to our room while our baggage and skis were unloaded and take n care of. Our suite was beautiful with a great terrace and fantastic views from east to west, catching the sunshine all day. Every member of the team was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is family owned and run and their staff are a credit to them. The ski in ski out location on the edge of the piste made skiing an absolute joy. The restaurant was decorated in a lovely alpine style and the food was exceptional, both the set menu and a la carte menus were superb.
We cant wait to return.

I cannot find anything remotely negative about this amazing hotel. I have been coming for over 10 years and everything is impeccable. Staff, service, rooms, location, food, spa, ski shop - it is perfect.
A testament is the fact that people come back and you get to know owners and staff - it is like a family.
I cannot wait to go back and it is always with great sadness that we leave.

Perfect stay in this 4* hotel. Location at the foot of the slopes. The decoration is warm and elegant. We feel very good there. Impeccable and very comfortable room. The staff is very professional and attentive. The catering is up to par: excellent breakfast and the evening meal is worthy of a Michelin star with a kind attention at the end of the meal for my husband's birthday. Perfect ski room service and the spa is quality. Flawless! THANKS.

What a lovely hotel. We've stayed here over many years, and having returned after a few years gap, what a pleasure it was to see the same smiling faces that were here 20 years ago. You couldn't ask for much more from a ski hotel. It has everything: ski in ski out, ski shop on the premises, sunny aspect, beautiful terrace, great food, lovely rooms, happy staff....

We stayed in hotel Allodis for a week during the quite period of January 2014. We are familiar with the environment and already ski in the area for more than 20 years.
Hotel Allodis was our natural choice as it is located on the slope and has ski-in, ski-out possibility and we have visited it before for dinners or lunches.
We stayed in their new superior suite 101 for the price of 458 EUR per person per night including breakfast and dinner. My personal opinion is that it is quite costly (916 EUR per day for 2 people) for what you get. The room, although suite is quite small but offers new interior.
The view from the room is nothing to write about and it is located on the first floor right above some technical rooms. As a result, every morning, at around 7.00 – 7.30 when the trucks arrive to bring goods, you are woken up by the noise.
There is no mini bar or room service in the hotel so you are better off going to the local supermarket to buy some food. Also, the suite is not provided with complimentary water or some other goodies. The bed linen was never changed during our 7 days stay. Also the amenities kit was never restocked.
There is no water cooker to make tea or coffee machine in the superior suite which is quite bad given that even modern bread and breakfast have it! I would expect some extra attention to the superior suite.
Another minor point is that youtube is not working in the hotel and I assume that it is blocked to prevent people using the broadband and slowing down the traffic.
The bar in the hotel is extremely expensive with beer costing 7.50 EUR per bottle, wine 9 EUR per glass and Champaign 17 EUR per glass. For sure you are not going to get top of the line wine for this money as it will be something simple. Wine per bottle and other drinks are also hugely overpriced.
Another overpriced feature is spa. The massage session of 50 minutes costs 120 EUR minimum. If you want some spa treatments it will cost you 115-120 EUR for 50 minutes as well. Why I think it is overpriced because I checked another hotel (which is also on the slope with ski-in ski-out possibility) and it offers massages for 60 EUR. Also, treatments are 40 to 50 percent cheaper.
We have dined almost every night in the hotel’s restaurant and found it of a good quality but rather having the same taste over and over again. After 3 days we have found that all dishes taste more less the same and there is no variation in them. I would advise the cook to add some spices in his dishes or make some combinations which will not repeat itself from start to the end of the dinner.
I would like to praise the staff of the hotel as they did make our stay welcoming. The barman at the bar is very good as well as the staff of the restaurant. Because you actually feel welcomed by them, you can close your eyes on some drawbacks which are not their fault.
To sum up, I am hesitant to say that this is a 4 star hotel but I also cannot say it is a 3 star hotel. It is somewhere in-between. The prices which they charge are not very justifiable for what you actually get. Everything from rooms, spa treatments as well as bar drinks are overpriced compared to other hotels. It feels that the concept is not finished as there is a great variation between what the hotel wants to be and what it actually is.
We will be looking around for our next trip to Meribel and will try hotel L’Helios which is newly constructed and has better facilities. Also, the price to quality is likely to be higher.

Dear Buto, I really thank you for your comment concerning your stay at the Hôtel Allodis**** & Spa des Neiges by Clarins. As you mentioned, you have been accommodated in one of our new suites fully refurbished this year which is one of our larger rooms (52m²). Please note that our rates are from 288 € to 505 € per night and per person, half-board which is equivalent of the rates of our competitors. I am surprised to read that your bed linen was not changed during your week as the maids change it every 2 days and as our head housekeeper checks it as well. Concerning your note for minibar, the policy of the hotel is to encourage clients to come at the bar because we think it makes a more friendly atmosphere. However, if our guests want to stay in their room, we offer a room service (for the bar and the restaurant). You also mentioned the rates of our Spa des Neiges by Clarins. In order to satisfy the most of our clients, we have special offer "Les Matins Spa" (56€) or "Spa déjeuner" (79€ with a lunch). Our target is to offer our clients an unforgettable stay in Meribel and we would have prefered you to let us know your disappointment at the moment in order we could satisfy you... Best regards

We loved staying at this hotell. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very small but ok. The hotel is just in the slope so you just jump into the skis and then in the slope which we liked and specifically with the ski school so close for our daughter. Ski rental in the hotel - very convenient. A large deck for after ski was lovely! We Will def come back.
The food in restaurant was so so.. our advice is Do not go for full pension. The diner food was not very impressive. You will want to go to local restaurants after two days here.
But all in all very nice.

Dear Lidstrompaula, Thank you so much for your feedback. It was a pleasure welcoming you! As you mentioned, the Hotel Allodis is located on the slopes, at the top of Meribel which is very convenient. We Regarding the size of the room, you indeed required for 2 adults a standard double room which is 25 m² and can accommodate 2 persons maximum. But you were 3 on arrival and we accepted your daughter sleep in your room. We hope seeing you next winter! Best regards

This a good quality hotel out of the the centre of Meribel - which its advantage and disadvantage!
Great staff, family run. Dinners are exceptional for the price. Breakfasts are disappointing - average selection at buffet - below average if you want cereal - and a somewhat haphazard approach to hotel drinks and a la carte cooked breakfast item.
Good ski in ski out ski room. Nice spa and gym facility.
Rooms are a bit dated and smallish.
