Nestled snugly on the banks of a tranquil River Ganges, Ganga Kinare - A Riverside Boutique Hotel is a charming retreat in the sanctum of Rishikesh, a land where spirituality and Mother Nature blend into a heady concoction. The only hotel resort in Rishikesh built right on the banks of the Ganges, Ganga Kinare overlooks the Rajaji National Park, one of North India's expansive sanctuaries and a melting pot of diverse flora and fauna. The resort boasts of a waterside esplanade beside the sinuous river, where one can soak in the sight of the mountains and revel in the sheer verdancy of it all. The resort houses 38 contemporary river facing rooms, each subtly touched with a flavour of tradition and local culture. Every room of the hotel presents an enthralling view of the interplay between the woods, the great Ganges and the Shivalik hills in the background. In addition, a modernistic conference hall can host up to 120 delegates. The resort can enhance an overall experience through enticing activities including safaris, white water rafting, camping, trekking, biking, nature walks, bird watching, boating, sky gazing, yoga and meditation, and Ayurvedic spa treatments. The hotel has hosted the International Yoga week on many an occasion and its guest list includes dignitaries like Mr Anil Kapoor (famoun Bollywood and Holywood Actor), Ms Lisa Ray (famous model and actor), Mr Rahul Gandhi (Gen Secy, Indian National Congress), Mr Lal Krishna Advani (ex-Home Minister and Deputy Prime Minster), Padam Shri BKS Iyengar, Mr. Moti Lal Vora (ex- Governor U.P.), Mr Ramanand Sagar (producer and director, Ramayana - a renowned television serial), Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad (ex-Tourism Minister, Govt of India), Dr. Karan Singh (ex-Union Cabinet Minister), Mrs Hema Malini (renowned film actress), Ms Yukta Mookhey (ex-Miss World), Pandit Jasraj (renowned Indian classical musician) among international heads of states, ambassadors, artists, celebrities, religious leaders and other VIPs.

Ganga Kinare- A Riverside Boutique Resort stands out for its serene atmosphere and prime riverside location, which many guests appreciate for the peaceful ambiance and stunning Ganges views. While the hotel receives accolades for its cleanliness and high-quality service, some travelers feel the rooms, though clean, lack comfort and are not worth the premium rates charged.
The private ghat, indulgent spa, and cultural experiences like live music and Ganga Aarti ceremonies contribute to the tranquil, culturally rich environment that many visitors enjoy.

Hotel's Favourite
My husband and I had decided to break away from our chaotic schedule and spend some time in Rishikesh by the Ganges and the mountains to soothe our nerves and ground ourselves. Ganga Kinare proved to be just the right place to do this! In all genuineness, the experience exceeded our expectations.
We had a 10-day stay at the hotel and were left spellbound by the combination of the majestic view and the service offered to us. The river-facing side of the hotel offers a view of the mother Ganga river in its most silent and yet so powerful form as she gently twirls through the mountains and flows past. The geese flying over the water with the mystical appearance of the multi-colored birds brings added touch to this divine picture. The hotel decor and ambiance beautifully merge and blend into this natural frame and one experiences oneness with nature. Their restaurant food Jal and Jalebi deserves a special mention too! The experience becomes wholesome with such a combination of an extensive spread, live easy music, a surreal view of the Ganges with the mountains, and slow delicious bites (especially the freshly made piping hot Jalebis with rabdi!). To add to this, the service offered by the hotel staff is the cherry on the cake. The service offered pampered us with enough attention and warmth. We both have had a lot of exposure to the customer service industry before and have come across the finest service reps. However, what personally blew us away about the staff at Ganga Kinare was less about their very well-trained mannerisms and more about their innate sense of goodness, sincerity, and resourcefulness that radiated through it all. The management sure has made some wonderful hiring decisions! The staff and their exceptional service have motivated us to write a review for Ganga Kinare. It is well deserved! We would like to acknowledge a few names of the hotel staff that made our stay so memorable:
Palesh Maithani (a proactively resourceful being. We want to commend his attention to our preferences and needs and attending to them without the need for acknowledgment or repetition. Truly grateful!),
Satpal Singh,
Vinod Singh,
Sunil Negi,
Ram Singh,
Ramprakash,
and Ratan.
The housekeeping staff too were very sincere and meticulous, would especially want to acknowledge Anjali Bartwal and Rajesh for their efforts in making our stay so comfortable.
The only bummer we initially experienced was that the hotel was a 15 min drive to Ram Jhula (from our last visit to Rishikesh, we had lived at an ashram right next to Ram Jhula and had enjoyed meandering around the market area and Parmarth Ashram’s Ganga aarti). However, we were bummed out for the initial few hours until we decided to explore the scenic AsthaPath we saw from our room’s window right outside Ganga Kinare’s back door. The long walk was blissful and to top it all it led us to Triveni Ghat where we got to witness the fag end of Ganga Aarti (We did come back for more later). We even rode cycles on the AsthaPath early in the morning, the experience was fun albeit, the cycle seats could have been cushioned better.
Overall a wonderful, wholesome, and memorable experience for the two of us – more than what we had expected! We are grateful to the whole team for their service, especially Saurabh (restaurant manager), who is clearly leading his team by example.

First of all, I would like to thank the management for helping us check in early. We stayed in a room called Nandini. We were extremely satisfied with the room. I loved the view from the balcony as well.
My family would like to thank Sheetal (Ganga Kinare staff) for helping us plan the Kujapuri and Rishikesh Trip. Very happy with the experience and the humble nature of the front end staff.
Our family loved the breakfast but I personally was not satisfied with the dinner buffet as some dishes were dry and empty plus the price is hefty (>855 per person).
Overall a great place to stay. Will definitely book them again if I'm visiting Rishikesh!

In this post Covid19 scenario this was my first stay at a hotel and i was glad i chose this place again. The care they've taken in light of the pandemic is nice to see and makes one feel that much safer.
The room we got was a two bedroom one named 'upvan'. For couples with kids this is recommended. Everything was neat and clean and the manager and staff were nice and courteous. They also made us aware about the care they've taken to sanitize the rooms and laid to rest any doubts we had regarding our stay.
The dinner in the restaurant Jal and Jalebi was delicious. We ordered the garhwali thali and enjoyed the local preparations. The weather was pleasant so we sat outside and had a lovely view of the Ganga.
Ended our stay early next morning at their private ghat. The peace and serenity one feels at that location cant be expressed in words.
This is one of the places i'll be returning to soon because of their focus on safety w.r.t the pandemic.

The Hotel was in the perfect location and we had a direct panoramic view of the Ganga and the surrounding Hills from our room (305). It was magical the way the light transformed the vistas from morning to afternoon to evening. Free Yoga and meditation classes are available in the mornings and also a free guided tour was arranged to the Aarti ceremony in Rishikesh with a relaxing picturesque 2 km stroll along the riverbank starting at 5.30 pm. The hotel also conducts it own Aarti ceremonies at 6.45 am and 6 pm. The best thing to me is the hotel's private ghat where you can dip into the holy waters of the Ganga for a possibly life changing experience. Sheetal was incredibly helpful and friendly in giving awesome advice and even assisting us with taking beautiful pictures during our dip. Last but not least, we especially enjoyed the delicious and healthy foods that were freshly prepared in the ground floor vegetarian restaurant for breakfast every morning. The service by all the staff was friendly, attentive and responsive! Don't forget to get your bottle of holy Ganga water when you leave. Thanks again to Sheetal for making our stay a very memorable and meaningful one.

After spending 11 months in home we decided to unwind with a short trip to Rishikesh and booked the hotel through travel agent. The purpose was just to relax, which was served. The hotel is good in terms of the room, F&B, location, personnel. However, one needs to have a room overlooking the river Ganges. Our room had partial view and it was satisfactory though adjoining new hotel does hamper the view. I found the prices of F&B on the higher side and wifi erratic, a common problem with many hotels in India. Its been observed that even though the room was booked for double occupancy, one find toilet accessories like bathrobe, slippers for single person. This is also a common malady with Indian hotels. Personnel were helpful.

It’s an amazing place. On one side you view river Ganga and on the other mountains and Rajaji National Park. The hotel actually helps you discover real Rishikesh. The rooms are spacious and some offer river view like the one we stayed in you can sit by the large glass window with a cup of tea and admire the view. The Hotel has their own private ghat where you can take a holy dip or simply sit on the stairs and watch the white river flowing. Apart from the location, the food served is all vegetarian and tastes really good. Buffets are delicious. They also have their own Spa service. The evening spiritual walk is worth experiencing. The Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat will leave you ecstatic. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Liked this hotel very much. Highly recommend this place.

The hotel has a very clear and amazing river front which is visible from the premium category rooms. There is no balcony in these rooms though. The real surprise was Jal and Jalebi, their main restaurant which serves amazing food. We ate Indian, Chinese and Italian spread over B/L/D including buffets over 3 days, and all the meals were superb. Good staff eager to please the guests. Ample parking with valet service. The rooms need more attention. It's a 30 yrs old property which has been significantly refurbished but the age/stress is visible in the rooms. You can easily access (right outside the hotel) a 4kms traffic free river front walking/jogging track which is very well done as a public road.
Overall experience was superb. Not giving full marks as they have work to do to address workmanship/fit-outs in the rooms. Everything else is fantastic.

I am not a very good writer but i think i have to share my reviews regarding this trip. Well the purpose of my trip was to chill out for a couple of days and this place has done a good 80 percent job. Ganga Kinare will provide you with a good view, good food, good service in short its a very good deal. It was well sanitized and the rooms were filled with every little daily needs. In short i didn have to call the reception every time, it was already there . I did used their spa facilities. They have good massage packages with a very genuine price. Staff was very friendly with Miss Gayatri on reception, greeting you with a smile and sort out with all the check in details, even with your outside queries. Thanks to all the Ganga Kinare family. You all made my day 🙏🙏

The hotel is just few meters away from river Ganga, the premium room will have full view of the river and mountains . We stayed for 2 nights, the breakfast has a good spread and do sit out to breathe in some fresh air. The room are equipped with full modern amenities. The bed and mattress is slightly disappointing , but in all it was a great stay. The staff are very courteous and friendly . My flight was early , they were kind enough to allow to check in 2 hours early .

Perfect trip for the friends. Very hospitable staff- Srishti, Divya, Nancy, Anuj .Food was delicious. The property is on the banks of the holy river, and the rooms have a good view of the hills and the river. It is not a new property, so the expectations have to be accordingly. Housekeeping promptly replenshises the stuff which you consume. I will recommend it to all who are going with family or friends. Srishti, Divya, Nancy, Anuj .Food was delicious. Ganga Kinare has a lovely view of the ganga river from the dining hall balcony and river facing rooms. The Triveni Ghat aarti is not visible from the hotel. It is about 20 minute walk on the river promenade. That said, Ganga Kinare has its own private ghat on their premises where aarti is performed and hotel guests can attend/participate. Since its a small group it is very intimate and priests hand out small aarti plates to the guests to perform aarti’s themselves.
What we observed it is a good hotel on Riverside.
But not sure about meditation class.
Yes, only vegetarian.
I m looking for weekend stay in Rishikesh? Which room I should book for balcony + river view, thanks
Sorry it is not 303 rather 305 has the best view of Ganga from the room
