Detailed Reviews
I had fantastic time staying there in 4-bed female dorm for about 2 weeks in total. I highly recommend this place if you are thinking about staying for long period of time in Rishikesh comfortably and at the same time if you want to meet new people.
There is no key for dorm room so in the beginning I was not sure about the security but later I heard it's normal in India.
Anyway I felt very safe there and I could use my own locker with a lock so there was no problem in the end.
Every day they cleaned up room nicely, there was always enough hot water for each person.
The room is spacious enough to share with other 3 girls. In other hostels sometimes the beds are too close and there is not enough space to move around so I liked that point too personally.
You can dry your laundry outside of the room which also was a huge plus for me as I was staying there for long period of time.
There are plenty of common places where you can have good conversation with other interesting guests.
Especially the view from rooftop is lovely, you can see the mountains. In the early morning you can feel the fresh air, calmness and the good energy of the town.
On the rooftop there's yoga hall and I saw several times people doing their own practice.
They also have many activities, I loved the communal dinner on Tuesdays. Sharing the meals we could meet other guests.
Supervisor Rohit was fantastic! He is friendly and already ready to help. All the stuff there were so lovely.
I definitely come back again when I come back to Rishikesh next time, thank you for all in Live Free Hostel :)

We stayed in the basement 4 bed dorms, they were clean and everyone had their own light. The shared bathroom was cleaned every day and everything was always in a good state.
The main staff member is very helpful but the others perhaps need some training as they often didn't know answers, but they were all friendly.
The lounge was quite comfy, though dark in the day and often very loud music would be playing when only one person was in there trying to read.
They had fresh filter water, washing machines and the dinner on a Tuesday was an excellent way to need people.
The yoga in the morning was a bit unusual, compared to the yoga taught in the schools around, but again, nice people.

Well I wish I would have stayed at this hostel I was across the road from it. But it was always happening at this hostel. I went here and visited friends a few times. My hotel was too quiet. The guys that work here are awesome. It was always a fun time just hanging out here. Each level has a huge brightly coloured Terrace. I enjoyed watching the artist do there beautiful wall drawings around the building. I would highly recommend staying here if you like a place that's not overly quiet. Nice place to sit and listen to everyone play guitars and sing. I like the idea that there's a washer and dryer here so you can do your own laundry. The staff was very very polite and very friendly and helpful. It's also in a very great area.

We were on our trek to Brahmatal this December and decided to stay at Live Free Hostel based on the excellent feedback on various digital platforms and to add up, India Hikes pick up is just outside Live Free Hostel, which made it even better.
Coming to experience had an amazing stay of 2 nights, with location being very strategic to move across the city by foot or bike.
All necessary shops and medical stops are just 1 minute walk and bike rentals easily available.
The guy Shubham at the reception is really good with his colleagues (forgot their names , sorry guys) and took care of the guests really well.
Overall a good place to stay for friends and couples on their way to trekking or otherwise.
In short the colourfull hostel made college hostel memories revived...Cheers Guys...

The hostel is located near to the market which is one of the biggest markets in Rishikesh. The hostel also provides adventure sports like rafting, paragliding, bungee jumping and many more at a affordable price. The look from terrace is amazing. They also provide facilities like air conditioner, private beds with curtains with reading lights. The wash room was very clean and the beds were neatly organized. The service from the staff was also very good. It is a very good hostel to stay in Rishikesh.

Excellent food, hygenic stay, great service, hostel like living, and best part is terrace where you can do yoga and meditation before the front of mountains that carries ganges and which is the ultimate and on its peak at mornings . Morning finishes with great breakfast and ends with live dinner with friends and soulfull music in the cafeteria. Great place to chill out and budget stays. I stayed at the Live Free hostel for nearly 2months unintentionally as right after.i had arrived to the hostel the nation wide lockdown in India was imposed. From the very beginning the hostel staff was very caretaking and the safety of all the people staying at the hostel was the highest priority.so we were not let outside the hostel for more than two weeks. Through this time the hostel stuff was making their greatest effort to meet the wishes of all the guest more than 30 people)regarding the meals that they prepared and also different kinds of products they wanted to get from "outside". So thumbs up for that. Besides that the hostel has got enough space to move around, great rooftop suitable for a physical workout, even running, and Asanas(yes,I had to write since it's in Rishikesh). Rooms are cost and clean, showers with hot water. Every day the staff takes very good care of keeping the place clean and welcoming. They can also help put with booking different activities in the area.
