In addition to an indoor pool, Sleep Inn & Suites Monticello provides a spa tub and a 24-hour fitness center. Wired and wireless Internet access is complimentary. Business-related amenities consist of a 24-hour business center and meeting rooms. A complimentary breakfast is offered each morning. This business-friendly hotel also offers coffee/tea in a common area, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and laundry facilities. Onsite self parking is complimentary. Sleep Inn & Suites Monticello is a smoke-free property.
The Sleep Inn off route 64 solves a basic problem of a place to sleep. Emphasis on basic. However, the hotel looks like too many rock bands have used it as a crashing and party pad. Boy does it need a thorough cleaning, paint and refurbishing job. Grateful that it does have a laundry room, but the grungiest machines ever. Rock band must have used them after a year on the road. Breakfast is make-your-own waffles, rubber scrambled eggs, bacon, bread, bagels, yogurt, bananas. I couldn’t wait to get out of there and can’t see anyone staying for more than a night. If you are concerned about Covid cleanliness, heck, about cleanliness, go somewhere else.

The location is convenient to visiting Monticello and was the sole reason why we chose this hotel. The other plus was the breakfast was good. The hotel & room needs some major attention. The hot tub was broken and sounded like it had been broken for a VERY long time. The toilet didn't stop running, the rug was VERY dirty, the desk chair had some unknown stains on it, the tv every 20-30 minutes would get static & lines running through it, the mattress pad/bedding needed a thorough cleaning, the room/hotel just had an overwhelming feeling of not being clean. We only stayed one night.

Water in pool was cold. Hot tub was literally empty. Room carpet was dirty. The room smelled. Walls had gross dirt. Only good thing was a solid breakfast. None of the personnel seemed friendly or happy. I would definitely not recommend this.

Most C'ville hotels are charging $350/night on football weekends, so I decided to take a flyer on the Sleep Inn at $200/night. The room was clean and more than adequate for my purpose, which was simply having a place to sleep after an active day with fellow alumni. The motel was also located a very short drive from Scott Stadium, which was convenient. The breakfast bar was not bad--freshly cooked eggs and decent bacon with other amenities. For a 2 star motel the Sleep Inn was pretty decent and I'd probably stay there again when I go to a UVA home game.

This hotel needs some love. Our room was so beat up. All the furniture was dinged up. There was a hole in the bathroom wall that was covered in duct tape. Our front desk clerk Gloria was extremely helpful and nice though, she was the silver lining to our stay there.

We stop here on our way to the OBX from Cleveland. We did not expected much, just beds and a breakfast. Let me start by saying the lady working the front desk was awesome! She was very professional and friendly; her service was excellent. The hotel was dirty. The pool area was gross, and the breakfast was terrible. It unfortunately met our low expectations.

Check in and out was quick. The décor was updated. The room and bedding felt clean. The bathroom was spacious. The hotel is located near stores and restaurants. It had an indoor pool and a gym which was nice. No hot breakfast. It was all "to go" items in a paper bag.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff parked their cars in the guest unloading zone and in the exit lane. They spend a lot of time out there smoking and talking on their cell phones. Seems like odd behavior for employees to park cars where guest typically park. The staff was polite and courteous.

We are Choice Hotel members so we stay in Choice Hotels. We typically like staying at Sleep Inn properties but this one wasn't the best. We stayed for a night on our way home from dropping our son off at college. It was pretty clean and fine, but we had little problems. There was a light bulb out in the bathroom. The shower curtain wouldn't swing around the full bar in the bathroom so we had water everywhere when we took a shower. It was like the curtain was way too small for the bar. The clock was off and I couldn't reach back to plug it in. It was quiet and we got a good night sleep though. In the morning when we left I had to stand at the front counter for a long time to check out as there wasn't an attendant in the front lobby. I finally yelled out loudly for some…
