I was fortunate enough to stay at the Brass Lantern Inn with my partner last week. Mary Anne and George are both very kind and attentive to their guest's needs. The room was spacious, clean, and had a fantastic view of Mount Mansfield and the sunset. Breakfast was delicious (if George makes the caramel french toast or egg strata during your stay, you're in for a treat!), and they were very accommodating to dietary needs. They even left baked goods out for the guests each afternoon/evening. The inn is very close to shops and restaurants. It was also located well for us to explore Stowe, hike Mount Mansfield, take a day trip to Burlington, and more in just the few days we were there. We strongly recommend the Brass Lantern Inn to anyone visiting the area!

The owners are wonderful people who not only do a great job at running the bed and breakfast, but are also so welcoming and personable! The breakfast was AMAZING, the hot tub viewing the sunset was a treat, and learning about the history of the house was a plus! Thank you Brass Lantern for making our stay in Stowe such a great experience! We hope to visit again!!

We do love what we do, the guests make it interesting/fun and this invaluable reward of kind words truly makes the back of the house work so worth it. Yeah, that hot tub setting is pretty sweet. We loved charming Stowe and enjoyed the Brass Lantern Inn. Our room was very spacious and well appointed. The breakfasts were great. I can’t say enough good things about George’s quiche and blueberry muffins. George and Mary Anne were gracious hosts and very knowledgeable about local things to see and do. If I return to Stowe I will stay there again.

Everything about this experience is what you hope for in a B&B setting: friendly personable hosts in Mary and George, quaint old setting that is very well maintained, personal touches in each of the immaculate and well-stocked rooms, big hot tub, deck with comfortable chairs looking out into a huge backyard with a view of the sunset behind mountains, AMAZING breakfasts, and an overall feeling that you’ve stayed with friends. Don’t let the location detract you (just off a busy road), we heard NONE of it staying there.

Wow, we strive for perfection, and so glad to see we provided you with the kind of stay that we strive for every single day. We feel so very fortunate to be in this unique location, mountain sunsets and close to town. And yes, we have replaced all windows of the Inn to respond to that unique location of Maple Street. Great to see travel return!! Thank you for bringing hope and goodwill back to our business. So glad you enjoyed the breakfast as we think it is the most important meal of the day. Warmly, George and Mary Anne

We discovered The Brass Lantern Inn through an enthusiastic recommendation from a friend. Every detail of this delightful B&B exceeded our expectations. We stayed in one of the smallest rooms and still had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the vista of Mount Mansfield. The room had all of the best creature comforts: an adjustable heating and cooling unit, luxurious bedding, and a just-the-right-amount-of-pressure shower. Overall, we were very impressed with how the Brass Lantern feels “rustic,” yet updated and impeccably clean, all at once. We also enjoyed spending time in the Inn’s many common areas. Inside, you will find all sorts of nooks and crannies with couches, oversized chairs, and games. Outside, there is a spacious lawn with plenty of Adirondack chairs and also a *HOT TUB.* Our favorite aspect of the stay was getting to know the innkeepers, George and Mary Anne. They care about their work and it shows. George is a boss in the kitchen and concocts sumptuous breakfasts each morning (his caramelized French toast was a highlight for us). Mary Anne is a talented conversationalist who provided us with excellent recommendations and always kept us laughing! The Brass Lantern Inn has earned ur highest recommendation. We can’t wait to return!

Of course we have to start with, we love you heading! Thank you. Truly, it was such a pleasure to host friends of friends. We do love what we do, but, it is so, so much more rewarding when our efforts are so warmly received and then so graciously recognized on this forum. And for us, the real joy of this lifestyle is the chance to cross paths with such friendly people like you two. "Arrive as our guest, depart as our friends" is a wonderful aspect of this business. Thank you for this gift of a review and your plans to return to us. We have four amazing seasons so whenever you return you will be sure to have a special experience and we look forward to assisting in providing the ingredients for that magical retreat. See you soon, George and Mary Anne
