Friendly Manager Nikki and Gentleman who checked our group in. Very clean and updated room. I loved the pillows. My bed was firm and comfortable. The shower pressure was strong too. We had arrived on motorcycles. Parked them in front of our rooms and the night lighting was super bright. No way any thief would be stupid enough to take a bike here. Great places to eat across the street too. I only wish the pool had been open. Other than that I give it 5 stars!

We found this facility to be perfect for what we needed as travelers. For the price point it was an excellent value. All the basics covered: clean, well maintained, coffee in the room, ice machine down stairs, television, and a/c worked great. There is also Wi-Fi which also worked great. Please note though - many guest photos show a pool even though it is not listed as an amenity. The pool was not open during our stay - and I’m assuming it’s closed for good - just be aware in case you have your heart set on a pool. We would definitely stay here again.

We had called ahead to ask about availability on short notice as my mom was in the hospital and not expected to survive. I stated we would be in town in approximately 3 hours and needed a ground floor non-smoking room (i have severe allergies to smoke). The worker said they had plenty. When we arrived she said she only had upstairs so we took the room. In the bathtub was black short hair (I have long brown hair and my husband is bald). There was also a partial soap scum ring on the tub. I called and requested another room only to be yelled at with the girl stating her housekeeper cleaned the room. She moved us to a room downstairs and demanded that we go back to the office and sign. Later she came to our room to tell us that we would have to leave and could not stay a 2nd night. We left and will NEVER return to this hotel again. And to think these people are making a very good living off Americans and still think they can treat us like garbage. Awesome!!…

Response from Hotel Manager, Owner at Victorian Inn & Suites

Dear Guest, Firstly, we want to express our sincere apologies for the experience you had during your recent stay at our hotel. We are extremely concerned about the issues you encountered during your visit, and we want to assure you that we take all complaints very seriously. We understand that your request for a ground-floor non-smoking room could not be accommodated upon your arrival, which understandably caused some disappointment. Further, the cleanliness problem that you encountered in your room is unacceptable, and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused you. The behavior of our staff member in communicating with you was unprofessional and unacceptable. We take the feedback from our guests to heart, and we want to assure you that we are taking prompt action to address these issues with our team members, ensuring that our high standards are maintained and exceeded. Thank you for sharing your concerns with us, and we will do our best to prevent such occurrences from happening in the future. Sincerely Hotel Manager

After reading some of the reviews we were scared but had no other choice due to Hurricane Laura. I am very pleased and happy we stayed here. The owner and his daughter were great, they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The room was clean and had plenty of room for our luggage and everything else we had with us. plenty of restaurants and stores are within minutes. If we ever happen to go to Nacogdoches we will stay here again. The only tip I have for other people is.. if you are a germ freak like me, just bring Clorox wipes to disinfect and a gallon of Clorox to pour down the toilet and tub.

We are very pleased to stay here during the hurricane. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. The room is large! No, it is not a 5-star hotel, but for what it is I have NO complaints at all. The swimming pool was clean, our room was clean. We didn't have a choice of another hotel when we booked and expected the worse. We have paid more for others that were not as good.

I was on the road and tired so I decided to stop for the night. The room was large but it didn't feel all that clean. There was no way I would have used the tub/shower, it was in desperate need of being replaced. I didn't turn on the TV or anything. Just slept, cleaned up at the sink and got back on the road. Apparently missed the breakfast but don't know if I would have been comfortable eating there anyway.

Well, I understand when you stay places not every place will be like home or exactly what you want it to be BUT when a place has bugs and then the next morning you wake up to the smell of bug spray you know you've just commited to possibly bringing these travelers home with U. Only 2 roaches were seen in this room but 1 is to many for me. You can tell they did do remodeling but having bugs was not a priority over the nice painted room. Wasn't a fan of this place and will definitely not be going back.

After a long day of driving we were looking for somewhere clean and tidy to check into and as fate would have it we checked in here. All stated off so well, the service at the desk was prompt and cheerful and the room on the surface seemed nice. Then we went to the bathroom to find the bath with the jets was non functioning, the bathroom had not seen any proper repairs for a very long time and there was dried paint through the bath its self. So trying to let this slide we turn on the TV only to discover that watching anything would be a challenge with a quarter of the screen having been burnt out, so we swapped to the wifi only to find it ran at the same speed as cold treacle.

My husband was in the hospital and I went here to spend the night. The man at the desk was very helpful and the room was outstanding. The whirlpool bath tub was great to relieve the stress of the day. The room was clean and comfortable.

We stayed here in September, had no choice because we were late in making a reservation and it was the only hotel available. Not only were we price gouged ($149.00 up front, no cancellation) but the room was smelly, old, there were gouges in the bathtub and signs saying that things didn't work so don't ask. The freezer in the micro-fridge was so clogged with old built-up ice that it didn't close and the furniture was in poor shape. The curtain didn't even close, there was a safety pin in it. There were puddles everywhere along the walkway from the air conditioners. I would drive 50 miles extra to avoid staying in this hotel again.
