To other travellers! Please read this: I was supposed to stay for one night and arrived in the afternoon. After checking in, paying and showing me around, the lady asked me where I stayed before. I told here that I stayed in another hostel in the north of the island. After hearing that, she told me to leave and that I can't stay because apparently the other hostel wasn't taking the covid rules seriously. This information isn't being communicated anywhere when booking, so watch out! I am a young solo female traveler (19) and told her that they can't kick me out because it's the only place I have to sleep and it was already getting late. They did not care at all and did not take my situation seriously. By pure luck I was able to do a reservation at another hostel so I found a place to sleep (and the hostel ended up being way nicer and welcoming!). BUT: I never got my money back and after calling two times and still not getting it, I thought I would share my story.

Private room with shared terrace, shared bathroom. Had everything I needed for a short break near Las Americas. Helpful staff; amenities for cooking etc. Quite laid back - not your stereo-typical hostel for wild partying adolescents. I didn't get endless sleep. Not because of late night revelries but rather of the early-morning door slamming by other moronic guests and possibly the cleaners. Are these people dragged up with no consideration for others of the noise they make?? Every day from 8am to 10am doors were constantly being opened and closed noisily, often slammed - kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, you name it they were banging away. Impossible to have a lie in and get proper rest. The establishment needs to put noise-dampening pads in all the door frames to cushion the noise when idiot guests close doors noisily.

I stayed for two nights very easy to reach by bus from the airport. The staff were helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and it was very clean with nice breakfast. In a good location I would stay here again.

I've never stayed in a hostel before; so my opinion was initially based on stories I'd heard from the experience of others. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for what I needed (BJJ training and food). The beach is about 15 mins walk away. The hostel is ideally located near plenty of excellent cafes, supermarkets and restaurants. I would not hesitate about staying again. Thank you all.
