The last review from July 2021 makes good points and in our view is fair in many ways. Agree with the good points so well done Bitacora, won’t repeat those as they are made out but there are other factors a potential visitor may wish to consider. Noise…… very very very loud entertainment noise in the morning especially and through lunch - even in the furthest corner of the adult area your head shook…. Far louder than the evening entertainment or most clubs I’ve ever been to. There was no escape and it goes on for several hours solid - which leads us to…. Lunch. So the dinner buffet is fabulous - little else to say really, great choice , great quality and lots of Covid safe effort - that’s a far cry from lunch, and that’s a shame especially if you are paying a lot for all inclusive (Jet2 please take note……) The lunch is served in the outside bar area and even trying to order with the volume of the entertainment was not just uncomfortable and difficult but it meant that customers and the lovely staff had to shout at each other to be heard - and that’s a straight up Covid transmission risk that’s totally unnecessary. The poor staff also have to have their hearing damaged by it and said as much…… absolutely awful…… and hours of it, not just a quick blast! The lunch is just burgers / chips / pizza / sandwich and some ‘ok’ salads. Fine, good quality but not a patch on the evening buffet or breakfast. So the adult only area - that was a selling point for some people (hello Jet2 ??). It’s a lovely area and nice pool and spa pool, all clean and really well maintained. But, there are kids jumping in it and shouting every day and the staff do nothing unless really pushed - and then it just repeats anyway. We felt if older people were thinking of coming then they should prepare for kids even in the adult areas and booming music - also that you can’t even get tea or coffee or in fact anything before 08:00 and getting drinks (inc water) is not as easy as it should be…. So lovely place but it’s not the Utopia painted by the last review who were clearly fortunate to be treated as royalty (everyone we met had spent a ‘long time ‘ at reception and didn’t spot the courtiers!!! If anyone would like an audio or video sound bite then message us ! 😂

Hotel's Favourite
Everything about this hotel was first-class. We had a fantastic room with a terrace which saw the sun from about 10-30am until the evening. The room itself was massive, beautifully presented and always spotlessly cleaned. The buffet meals were probably the best we have had. We like to eat early and the hot food at the start of service was definitely hot! Staff were generally friendly and helpful (our only less than perfect experience was when we arrived at 2-30am, 30 hours after our due arrival time due to the sandstorm which disrupted flights; to be told that they had put us down as "No shows" was not exactly what we wanted to hear nor were we interested at that time in the lengthy explanation that was proferred).

What can I say about the Hotel Bitacora. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. The hotel has been refurbished to an amazing standard. It truly has something for everyone and would appeal to anyone looking for an amazing holiday in the Tenerife sunshine. The Hotel is very central and close to Safari Mall with its array of shops, a 5 minute walk. The beach is no more than 10 minutes walk away. Siam water park is close by as are many restaraunts and bars offering delicious well priced food and entertainment. Pools - there are 6 pools in total. An adults only pool with a jacuzzi pool along side it. The main pool which is very large. Two children’s pools with water slides that adults can also use. The UP terrace pool which is an infinity pool on the roof terrace with a beautuful decked area and palm trees and umbrellas offering shade if needed. Thee are also two jacuzzis on the Up terrace with spectacular views. Rooms - the rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean. Terraces are large, especially on the ocean front rooms. Decor is beautiful, UP rooms have a different vibrant decor that is lovely. Restaurants - the restaurants are wonderful. Spotlessly clean and a wide variety of food that would suit even the fussiest of people. Fresh roast meat and fish served daily along with many other delicious dishes. Something to suit everyone. Staff - the staff are what makes this hotel so special. Everyone really couldn’t do enough for you, we made some very special friends on this holiday and will be returning very soon. A special thanks to Raul , Human Resources director who looked after us so well. Zeben, in Papayas bar who treated us like friends and was so attentive to all our needs. Alexis, on the UP terrace who laid our towels out daily and brought our drinks without us even having to ask. Inaki, who dealt with the Hotel guests, nothing was too much trouble for him. Andres on reception whose smile every morning brightened our day. And lastly the amazing, wonderful Nelson Cruz and his animation team - Yasmin, Juniel, Calypse, Carla, Roylan, Aniste, David, Georgia, Johannis, Protas and Melina. The shows these guys put on are truly spectacular. Dancers and singers here are top class and worthy of a place on the West End or Broadway . Lastly a special thank you to Nelson, you are one in a million and we have made a friend for life. You made our holiday so so special and we can never thank you enough. We will be back very soon to surprise you. So, if your thinking of booking this fabulous hotel, don’t waste another second. Just book it, you really will have a fantastic time and won’t be disappointed. Karen, Mark and Sophie Baker

Highly recommend not coming until atleast late next year as they have opened after a renovation but is clearly not finished and will not be for a while, theres still buiding going off in the main reception and other parts of the hotel is not complete also when while weve been here weve been limited to a set menu which is not a good option for children and they just shrug there shoulders when you bring any complaint forward, also assumed i wasnt disbaled just because it wasnt a visible one and told me i cannot use a mobility scooter at the hotel. The hotel is really nice but the staff let it down massively, id highly recommend staying somewhere else

We had been staying in Adeje and were due to transfer hotels to here on Saturday 12th but had to go home early due to the new quarantine rules . However we went over to check on the hotel , we were shown around by Yaiza just before it was due to reopen It is stunning ! Having stayed here some years ago I was really interested to see their changes . Everything is now so open light and bright , not dark , the pool area is massive . So disappointed to have to cancel and not a full review but will be looking forward to visiting next year .
