Detailed Reviews
Very small hotel (9 rooms) a few minutes drive away from Valmorel village. beautifully located. We were only there for one night at the end of August and all we want to do is to come back. The room was cosy and although we did not get one with a balcony, the views were lovely nonetheless. It was a comfortable room, tastefully decorated and very quiet. The hotel does not offer family rooms which may explain the peace and quiet. Unfortunately we did not experience the restaurant which is supposed to be fabulous but we will in future! The breakfast was simple and good and the homemade strawberry/hibiscus jam just gorgeous. You wouldnt walk to Valmorel main village as we found the lacey road sideways dangerous and not adequate for pedestrians but a shuttle comes and goes all day which is handy. We totally recommend l'Oxygene and are hoping to see those beautiful views in the snow next time!

Breathtaking views from the balconies and from the pergola in the reception. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Parking at the door. Very good restaurant in the hotel. Good to have a jacuzzi, a sauna and a harman. It misses only some comfortable seats to relax. Free Valmorel city bus available in front of the hotel to take anywhere in the village and in the ski areas.

We stayed in this hotel for a five night ski break. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms were cosy and comfortable, although I would say the family room we stayed in was very small, probably best suited to younger children, with limited storage. With older children it would be better to get two rooms. There was a bus service to the ski resort although we took the car and parked easily at no cost. The half board option was fantastic, we ate from the a la carte menu with lots of choice and the food was of a high standard. The restaurant area had a small bar area and a lovely open fire.

We were staying in a chalet nearby and had a meal here one lunchtime. The was very good and better than any of the meals we had in Valmorel. Very traditional cuisine, Côte De boeuf, bourginon etc. The food was delicious and hearty and the restaurant itself was very nice and the staff welcoming. I'd definitely go back if I was in the area.

Wow! what can I say, this place is spectacular, nestled in valley of probably the most beautiful place on the planet, Valmorel.
My good lay wife and I were lucky enough to be taken to Valmorel, as my daughter and husband are avid skiers, what a trip, Valmorel is a place of out standing beauty, views that one could only dream of, with shops lit up like Christmas tree's, restaurants full of amazing produce and giving off smells reminiscent of the happiest days of my life. In our 65 yrs we have traveled the globe, for me Valmorel take the biscuit every time.

I went to Les Marmottons hotel/restaurant last week for a birthday party. We were a party of 20 and everything from start to finish was impeccable. Veronique has a gift for making people feel welcome and will always go the extra mile to accommodate your wishes. The chef is just fantastic and the food was superb during the 4 days.
Inside, the deco is very traditional for an hotel in the Alps but with all the confort you would expect for this type of hotel.

+1
Since I booked this hotel for the weekend, I got the feeling it was a good decision. Mrs. Véronique Levier - the owner - took care of my reservation and accepted my late check-out request. Not only she did it, but she waited us till we arrived (snowy night, had to carefully drive up the mountain) and served us at the restaurant. Food was great, good ambiance and a warm welcome. If you are looking for a cosy hotel in the mountains, with good restaurant in, go for Les Marmottons. We were 3 (my wife, our son and I) and we took the triple room. Good space, nice bathroom. The hotel is well served by free public transport to many places around, notably the ski slopes (and lifts). We highly recommend!

My comments are appointed to the restaurant of the hotel.
i have been there for dinning and the selection of food was amazing!
quality was of high level but also service was as it should be!
very warm place, typical chalet style with a big fire place in the middle.
if you want to have the best food in the area then this is definitely the place!

Pension nice and good value Award.
Great location high up with a nice view and oxygenated air!
We would have preferred a room with balcony because the rooms are small but unfortunately we went late.
The Inn is quiet and well attended.
Breakfast is good and homemade cakes quality but can be a little expensive.
