The Club Med Village of La Plagne 2100, at the foot of the slopes, overlooks the resort with its bold architecture. The Village has just been awarded its 4th Trident making it a model of refinement and contemporary design. Shimmering drapes and soft furnishings, fluid spaces and designed acoustics and lighting create a stimulating atmosphere in harmony with the mountain. La Plagne 2100 hotel is frequently celebrated for its prime ski-in ski-out location and the friendly, lively atmosphere guests enjoy. Service at the hotel is generally considered professional and amiable, although some guests have pointed out organizational hiccups. The cleanliness of the rooms is a strong point, though their size and lack of storage can be limiting.
While the amenities and entertainment are appreciated, there are remarks about the need for updates and the occasional slow service. Despite these praises, the value proposition is questioned due to the high costs and extra charges.

Detailed Reviews
We visited as a family of four with another family for New Year and the team at ClubMed were absolutely fantastic. What stuck out was the unbelievable presence of the General Manager Vincent. He was there on arrival, but then he was shovelling snow, serving oysters in the the restaurant, giving out drinks as people were coming back from a morning of skiing, singing and dancing all night with the guests. We genuinely thought he must have a twin! He was tireless. What an inspiration to his team - who were all also brilliant.
My friend and I used the Spa which was lovely after a week of skiing. Our ski instructor Pascal was here on a temporary annual visit from the Pyrenees, but was an absolutely joy - one of the nicest, most safety conscious and considerate instructors I have ever experienced.
The whole week (food, entertainment, organisation of ClubMed generally and the dedication of the staff) was second to none. We will be back for sure!!
Thank you Vincent and Team.

Response from ClubMed, Content & Community Coordinator at La Plagne 2100
Responded 05 Jan 2020
Hello, Jayne, thanks a lot for your comment. What a pleasure to know you're so satisfied with your stay among us. Our team does its best to keep all the G.Ms satisfied and it is so reliving to know we're doing so. Just so you know, our Chief of Village doesn't have a twin (that we know of) and we too are pretty amazed about the way the team works altogether. There's a great energy there and it is a pleasure to see that you see it too! The whole team of Club Med La Plagne 2100 wishes you a Happy New Year and a wonderful day!

We had a wonderful family holiday the first week of February. ClubMed makes everything so easy for the whole duration of the holiday. The location of the this hotel is amazing, literally walk out from the ski room and about 20m brings you up to the slope. There are two free button lifts one directly across from hotel and one a little down hill from the hotel, so you can get your ski legs back on the Sunday as soon as you’ve collected your skis etc. All the floor/bar/kitchen staff we interacted with were lovely. Our kids 9&7 loved the mini-club, all the staff from it were good fun and were wonderful with the kids. Our kids preferred to eat with us, so we just signed them in and out as they wished. The ESF here ran like clockwork, which was down to Seb. Each of our 4 instructors were really good. My daughter got injured on day 2, between her ski instructor and the staff at mini club, they got her back to hotel and looked after her very well, until one of us could get to her. Her ski instructor even called into the medical centre on his way home from work that evening, which I thought was so kind.
There was a huge array of food each meal time, which was all very tasty and a great variety of drinks. We enjoyed the shows in the evenings.
My only negative of the whole holiday were two separate encounters with reception.
1) I had specifically requested a room that was well away from the communal areas and it had been put on my file as a request when we booked a year ago. Obviously there was no guarantee that this request would be met. Once we had gotten into our room, we realised we were pretty much above the main entertainment area and we were concerned about potential noise at night. My husband went down to reception with the email we had with our request. The receptionist said we were not above the main area and would not have any issues with noise from below and that she herself had stayed in one of the rooms near ours with absolutely no issues what so ever. This unfortunately was not true and we could hear everything, I could have written out the playlist, it was that clear. To make it less bothersome we put the TV on to go to sleep to. We were annoyed with how we had been totally fobbed off by her. 2) we were looking to book for next year and when we went on website it was not bringing up availability - we went to reception to query this and to see if they could help us. A different lady, wasn’t overly helpful, but took our details and text a colleague while we were there and said that she would get back to us with an answer… we are still waiting on that answer.
We would have no hesitation booking here again, as the location was great and found the overall service really good.

Once again we spent an excellent Christmas week at Club Med. The Geo team was excellent.
Leonie managing the family team, and all the staff from the kid's club. As usual it takes a day or 2 before you see shows and other evening events. The live music was good and we had an amazing christmas eve with magic fireworks on the terrasse. Santa came out down from the roof!
At noon every day we had great animations outdoor. That was great fun for a mid-day break.
The ski lessons were ok but some of the groups were overcrowded with over 10 people in it.
The stretching session post ski was relaxing but a little short. Shame they didn't offer a yoga class too.
The spa was nice and its team happen to be very good dancers during the shows. Unfortunately the sauna was closed.
The food was good, the only caveat were the post-ski and pre-dinner food. That was quite cheap with some industrial food.
The bar team was brilliant and really cocktails savy, from cosmos to old fashions. The Elodie touch.
The room service was also not amazing. The rooms have a nice size and are comfortable. The cleaning crew comes late in the day, if it ever does, and they fail sometimes to provide fresh towels.
The team of the ski shop is courteous and helpful. That's the only thing we felt was massively overpriced. Even though convenient, renting skis at the club med was 30 to 40% more expensive.
Overall the GO team was always trying its best to be helpful. They were amazingly nice and friendly.

We've just returned from our first skiing holiday and our first time at a Club Med. It was an amazing experience! We were assigned great clean rooms next to each other (even though we had paid for the basic option, not guaranteed near each other). Our ski instructors were amazing and their English was fine for our needs, they had us up and moving down slopes very quickly, and were always very patient with young and old in the group. The food blew us away, we were not expecting such good quality and variety, and so much seafood. The cheese fondue was a great experience, and our kids couldn't get enough of the gelatos. The bar was fantastic and we tried a lot of local drinks and cocktails. Our favorite place was the outdoor deck at lunchtime, their food and cocktails were delicious, we had the best burger with raclette cheese one day. The hotel manager was always around and busy helping out, even cooking food and being the DJ. The location of the hotel is perfect close to so many lifts and slopes, we only got home at 6pm some days. We had perfect and hot sunny weather which made the experience even better. We missed a lot of the nightly entertainment as we couldn't keep our eyes open after 10pm, but it looked like a lot of fun. We loved the way everything was handled and taken care of as a package. There were only two negatives for us: 1. the ski hire is very expensive, we ended up renting all our gear from Intersport in the building next door, they charged us 60% less than Club Med quoted us (and Intersport had a end of season special). 2. We wanted an earlier shuttle back to Geneva Airport on the Sunday so we could still do some shopping, and they said it wasn't possible. Then our shuttle arrived late to pick us up (he brought new people to the resort so I think they were late to depart), which meant we only had two hours to get to Geneva and the driver raced over the speed limit (down the mountain paths and on the freeway) just to get us to the airport on time. It was a horrible ride and we stressed all the way. Luckily we got there safely and just in time to make our flight. But other than that our week was absolutely amazing and we will definitely do it again, the resort ticked all the boxes!

We have stayed at several Club Meds while on ski holidays. This one has started to show its age. The food was the same as other Club Meds, and one cannot fault the service, but the quality of the facilities leave for something to be desired. The resort is only accessible by a 21-bend mountain road, which left us feeling concerned for our safety (no fault of the driver). Otherwise, there is little wrong with the resort, hence the 3/5 and not 2/5 rating. In this instance, the Club Med 4t does NOT equate to an ordinary 4* hotel.

Hi Peter, thanks for your comment. We're sorry to know you've been a bit disappointed about the quality of our Resort. Club Med and La Plagne 2100 is a great way of skiing for the entire family and value for money. It takes the hassle out of skiing while providing comfort to relax. The slopes are generally great and group ski lessons is enjoyable.

This years Chef de Village, Erik, has improved the service considerably especially in the quality of the food and the service in the restaurant, dirty plates were quickly removed. The theatre/ bar area was always lively with always something to entertain you. The bar could do with a few more GO's to serve you as the wait at times was to long. The ski/boot room is very crowded but this is due to the building and cannot be altered.
I had a mixed experience with the group ski instruction, my first instructor for the first 2 days seemed more interested in running an SAS course, with the aim of who would collapse first (me). My second instructor for the next 3 days was excellent, he built the groups confidence enabling us to do 2 days off piste ,both groups were 3A. I would thoroughly recommend Antoine who is a caring and a very good ski instructor.
Don't miss out on the excellent stretch classes at the end of the day, they really help tired muscles.

Went to Club Med La Plagne, France in 2019. Everything was going well - the rooms were great, the food amazing, the entertainment varied and good for all ages. I had a problem with my passport and had to stay on. The hotel offered me an extra 2 days for an agreed verbal fee of 160 Euros total with the reception manager. Club Med didn't give me a contract. They showed no price on any electrical equipment when paying. I was informed their computer wasn't working so had to be processed in the back office.
A few weeks later I checked my statement and discovered Club Med charged me 1060 Euros! Despite notifying them, Club Med refused to back down. During the complaint procedure, that lasted about 9 months, Club Med got my gender wrong and even thought I lived in France! Their administration is shocking.
In the end, Mastercard (thank heavens that I paid for the holiday by credit card!) had to threaten legal action / arbitration with Club Med. Only then did they back down after a lengthy wait.
I will never book a Club Med holiday again.

Great holiday in a fabulous ski area. Snow was good and weather was perfect. The hotel is right on the slopes - a true ski in ski out location. The hotel itself is typical of Club Med, great food, lively atmosphere and of course all inclusive. Ski service/hire couldn't be ore convenient and the staff were very helpful, we switched out our skis for off piste power skis for a few days with no fuss. We upgraded to a premium room but were slightly disappointed to get two single ads instead of a double, but we did have a bath which was a bonus, when soaking away sore legs at the end of the day. Would recommend the resort and hotel, think its out 3rd trip here.

+1
Firstly I would say ignore the bad reviews. I have just spent a week here with my teenage girls and ex husband and we had the best time. The staff were kind and courteous, the food and drink were great and plentiful, the location of the hotel which is literally on the side of the slopes was superb and nothing was too much.
Yes, the boot room gets busy, but it's not unmanageable. I was there around 8:40 every morning and always got into my ski locker and found somewhere to sit. Yes, the bar is busy but I never waited longer than 10 minutes before being served. If you don't like waiting, I suggest changing the time you arrive at the bar so you're not there at peak times, go 20 minutes earlier or 30 minutes later.
We were blessed with amazing weather, it was literally 30 degrees on the terrace on a few of the days so we were able to sit outside for lunch and drinks/nibbles at apres with the DJ playing.
Although my children are older, you could see the effort the entertainment team put in for the younger children and Willy, who is always floating about and dressed in the most hilarious outfits, was great fun.
For me, there was nothing to fault other than not being able to stay for another week! We'll be back next year.
Thanks to the entire team: Cleaners for ensuring we came back to a fresh room, receptionists for always being helpful, waiting staff in the restaurant for always being polite helping us find a table and keeping our wine glasses topped up, the chefs and servers for helping me gain a stone in weight in a week, the bar staff for creating new cocktails because I drank my way through the list in the first 24 hours, the ESF guys, especially Etienne who gave my daughter her confidence back after a first day wobble, the management team for running a tight ship and making sure everything was always running smoothly, the entertainment team for keeping us all smiling and lastly the DJ that was on holiday that took over the decks in the sunshine every afternoon meaning the regular guy got to have some time off and we got some banging 'choons'.
You can go to Club Med and not spend a penny if you choose not to eat or drink on the mountain, a massive if you want to budget your holiday in advance.
The only downside I can think of is I just wish it was cheaper so I could go twice a year.
Bon ski mes amis!

On there site, when you make a reservation, you can specify that you need the skis and choose one of three levels.
But, if you walk about 70 meters to the building "Plagne 2000", take the free Telemetro gondola down to the village, as you step out of the gondola you will see the "Skimum" store whare you can save about 100 Euro on ski rental in compare to the club. You can also rent there online.
For me, i rented a snowboard and thought quality could have been better. I had to bring it back a couple times for a fix and they replaced with a different one. Other places from what i hear were much less expensive. However, i did like the convenience of picking up, dropping off, or bringing it for a fix or adjustment.
Hi there - I’m afraid I don’t know for sure as we were happy with the ones we had. We were asked what standard we were and there were a huge number of skis in the ski room. I suggest you email ClubMed directly via their website and ask the question - they should be able to give you a comprehensive answer.
You walk about 100 meters to the Plagne 2000 building and from there you take the free Telecabin down to the vilage. It runs until midnight or 1:00 am.
