When we first arrived my eldest sister got stuck on the elevator and had to force a way out HERSELF. Nothing was done to get her out. No key cards were made or ready for my family when we arrived, we had 6 rooms. Staff Member Nicki is a disgusting person. Really bad attitude and manners. Started commotion with the younger members of my family after she say the adult left the hotel. Tried to charge my rooms with trash fees even though we moved our trash out the halls as she watched me do so and before she even got to my room. Called the police on my family when my mom tried to speak with her about the situation after going back to hotel because younger members called saying she was messing with them. My mother asked to talk to her boss, she said she was the boss which we all knew that was a lie. The lady picked on my ENTIRE family one by one the whole day before putting us out. She is also a compulsive LIAR. End result was we were put out of the hotel a day before we planned. That was devastating because me and my family are from LAKE CHARLES, La. Already dealing with life crisis because of mother nature. Lied about the refund which she said was going to be refunded to us in front the police, my mom asked for it in writing so in case she does lie we have proof. She said she didn’t have to do that. Lied to police saying my mother threatened her when my whole family plus others were witnesses of nothing of that sort being said. Lied about the fine note she told the police she put on the door was a “warning” when clearly on the note it says nothing such, it was a note saying we were being fined for trash, when she watched me move it as she came down the hall. She didn’t even come to my room BECAUSE she saw me take it away. Waited until I left my room which was about an hour after she did hall check for me to come back to a note on the door. Oh yeah she watched me leave the hotel so she knew exactly what she was doing. HOW SHADY!!!! Even kicked out my 3 elderly family members which are all in there late 70s and had nothing to do with the situation. Oh yeah she referred to my family as a posse. Never would associate myself with another CANDLEWOOD SUITES EVER AGAIN. And for her, people like that reap what they sore. So when my good friend Karma come for her, she shouldn’t have to think why Karma is seeking revenge. Not for us, but for my elders. They even had others with trash by their rooms but no fine notes, I took pictures and will insert. I wish I could explain completely what the whole bad experience was, every detail of her work but I’ll be typing a book if i do so. These are the main points. Nicki I hope your reading, I will pray for you. Hope whatever demons your dealing with be taken away in Jesus name. GOD BLESS YOUR BITTER SOUL

Checked into the hotel via trip advisor. Upon arriving I was immediately barred entering because of the time(2am). I explained that I and my partner had already booked but was late due to scheduling mistakes. Which was returned with a “umm no sir!” That isn’t possible. You are likely scheduled for today and check in is at 3. Have a nice day sir! And was hung up on! I tried to call back(with my hands full and still denied access into the air conditioned lobby) and was answered again with an “ uh, how may I help you sir!? I stated “ I’m sorry but you must be misinformed or lacking details, but I am booked and wish to be admitted at least to talk to you face to face so that I might explain”. Once again in the most exasperated manner was answered with “ uhh. No sir. You are mistaken. There is no check ins at this hour”. AND HUNG UP ON AGAIN!!!! Rude,discourteous, and unapproachable. I had no more reason to wish to stay here now, or anytime in the future. Disappointment is the baseline feeling here at the Candlewood Westchase and I wish I had read the reviews and had seen this for myself. The local super 8 found me relived to be heard and happy to be spoken to directly. Nice Candlewood. Really nice.

The people who work there were super nice. The room was clean and the kitchen area is a great bonus. I had to leave early due to a family emergency and they were very accommodating. It is backed off of Westheimer so that is nice.

I don't write reviews much but with all the negative reviews on this hotel I had to write this. My A/C went out today and I just checked in. The room is wonderfully cool, very clean, and attractive. Bed is fine. Maybe its been fixed up since those other reviewers wrote their comments but there is absolutely nothing I see wrong with this hotel. The price was amazing which had me wondering. Not wondering now, this will be my go to near my home or for visitors. Glad I took the chance.

Anjanette provided EXCEPTIONAL service to me, my wife and our baby when we arrived late at night this past weekend, readily getting us extra blankets and pillows without us asking! The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. There is 24/7 security in the parking lot. Even with this hotel being located near busy streets, the room was quiet and we did not notice any noise. Will stay here if I am in Houston again.
