Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Adolphus, even though it seemed to be going through some major renovations or repairs. This caused me to have to take many different detours to get back and forth from my room. However, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would visit again after making sure all construction work was done.

This is a historic hotel in a really nice location in downtown Dallas. There are many restaurants nearby and there is an upscale food hall across from it. The lobby is undergoing some renovations so you have to take multiple elevators to get to your room. We stayed one night and had a beautiful room facing the at&t center with lots of space and a sitting area. Bathroom was nice and clean and toiletries were great. Breakfast for us since my husband is titanium was included and the place looked liked an old fashion diner. Overall a nice hotel.

Why? Ambiance – heart of downtown Dallas. Most restaurants within walking distance. You could truly check out even amidst the COVID pandemic. Workout facility – very modern and clean fitness equipment including a Peloton. My wife was ecstatic. Bedroom – We had a corner suite. Truly romantic, spacious, clean, beautiful and comfy beds made for some great nights. View was decent. Overall Service – Great! Everyone wanted to help. Pool – not as nice as we would have liked. Missing something and I can’t put my finger on it. However, very cool area to mingle and sunbath. Stayed again for wife’s 39th birthday in late May 2021. We enjoy the area mostly but the history, service and vibes of this historic hotel will bring us back.

There’s a lot to like about The Adolphus! It’s a very historic hotel that has been brought back and mostly maintained to its original grandeur. Read the history on this gem! Yes, there are areas that remain under renovation and even some areas, outside the regular guest’s perspective, that are neglected but the vast majority of this property is fantastic. The front desk staff, Sheridan in particular, takes great pride and ownership of this property. She gave us a “private mini tour”. Something that fell below her regular job duties. It was a treat to see the dining room where the Queen of England took tea and to peek into one of the grandiose ball rooms. Our room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel sits directly across from the new AT&T Discovery District. The coffee shop, Otto’s, is better than Starbucks. Without hesitation I would recommend this property.

Pulled to the entrance. No help with the bags. Lobby under renovation so take your luggage thru the coffee shop, up the marble staircase to the elevators. Room was big and all curtains were pulled close. It was very dark. We pull the curtains open and see an atrium filled with trash, mud, and a single lost shoe. I don’t usually take photos to go with my reviews but this time I had no choice…
