Tyddyn Isaf Caravan Park is a long established family run holiday park located on the north-east coast of Anglesey, overlooking the stunning Lligwy Bay. The park offers large, level all-weather pitches for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes with a large proportion of the pitches offering stunning sea-views with water and grey-waste drainage facilities on pitch, as well as offering privately-owned holiday homes. Facilities include a food takeaway service, a shop, licensed coffee shop, Platinum Loo of The Year amenity blocks, laundry room, wifi and a luxury gym. Tyddyn Isaf Caravan Park is located adjacent to the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path which also makes it an ideal stop-over point for those guests who choose to circumnavigate the spectacular Anglesey coastline.

This campsite has changed my view of Anglesey! I wasn’t the biggest fan (to my Finace’s dismay) , now I can’t wait to come back. The facility is outstanding one of the best we have visited and Simon is a super host, by far the friendliest, warmest welcome we have had (we’ve toured most of the UK). The location is spectacular with magical views out to sea and the beach a stones throw from the site. Covid procedures are top notch and the site itself quiet. Worthy of note, the attention to conservation and wildlife here is heartwarming. Our pitch was relatively flat and well situated (just next to the park). The takeaway was lovely made nicer by the gentleman who served us! Met Simons wife too who was as lovely as he is. Thoroughly wonderful stay. Thank you all for a great little get away. See you soon!!!!

Hello, Thank you so much for your review. Conservation is at the heart of what we do at Tyddyn Isaf - over the years we have created an abundance of habitats which has resulted in a wide array of wildlife and birds being spotted in and around the park. Thank you also for noting our covid procedures - we have taken the pandemic very seriously and will continue to do everything possible to keep our guests as safe as possible. We look forward to welcoming you back soon, Kind regards Hayley

Absolutely brilliant Caravan and Campsite, highly recommend. Firstly I'll start with view as you arrive, absolutely breathtaking. We were fortunate enough that our camping pitch also had a view over the beach too, just perfect to wake up to every day. The site itself is spotlessly clean, the shower/toilet facilities were immaculate, with an added bonus of the radio playing too.

Lots of hand sanitiser everywhere and clear guidelines around Covid, very reassuring to see how much thought had been put in to keeping everyone safe in these current times.

The onsite restaurant provided a takeaway service which we used, super quick and efficient for that loaf of bread we'd forgotten!! We decided not to bother cooking one evening and got takeaway Pizza - it was truly delicious!

The site owners were super friendly, from first phone call to book to being shown our pitch on arrival - with thorough explanation about the site and facilities, through to a seamless and easy check out.

We spent 3 nights camping here in August, it's the perfect place to visit, with the beach a mere stones throw away, brilliantly clean facilities and friendly owners who couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We'll definitely be back!!!

We headed here for a long weekend. The facilities are still brilliant (they’ve clearly spent time upgrading bathrooms in the central toilet block during lockdown), plenty of hand sanitiser etc... felt very safe.
Ordered takeaway dinner from the restaurant one night and it was excellent, but then again it always has been.
We love coming here, it’s a superb site, quiet, well kept and run by a genuinely lovely family.

We were on a serviced pitch, water, waste and electric but no TV point. We had good views over the bay. due to its elevated position. The site is hilly, with a mixture of individual hard standing and grass pitches plus camping fields and static caravans. There seems to be many seasonal pitches. We were met by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our pitch, we didn’t meet any other staff members during our stay, we had already paid and checked in online.

Site was mostly quiet, Covid measures were good, lots of sanitizer points, unfortunately this meant the gym and restaurant were closed but they did a takeaway service order online, also any shop items are online click and collect orders at present. The various bin points have been closed so all waste recycling is at a central point near reception.

The facilities I used (near reception) were reasonably clean, but not as good as the Caravan club sites, or the independents we have visited. They could benefit from some modernisation, the tiling is dated and so we decided to use our own shower.

The best points about the site are the views, also the children’s play area is very good and the site landscape is well maintained. Also we had a takeaway meal which was excellent.

The site is OK but for the price charged we were expecting amazing and were a little disappointed at the standard compared to other sites we use.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are delighted that on the whole most of your points are very positive and complimentary and we are pleased to hear that you rated the food that you ordered from our take-away as excellent, as well as the standard of the landscaping of the park. As with many small family businesses we have had to adapt and change our services slightly to ensure the ongoing safety of our guests during this difficult pandemic. We have installed over 20 hand sanitiser points around the park, and have employed a member of staff specifically to sanitise contact points across the park - he currently sanitises over 400 contact points (door handles, locks, taps, flushes, gates, etc) several times a day, in addition to the standard cleaning routines that are in place across all of our facilities. With the above in mind, we are, however, disappointed to see that you have only scored us 3/5 and to read your evaluation of our toilet facilities. This is particularly upsetting to us as it sounds as though you only utilised one toilet block out of a possible 4 that were available. With this in mind, may I highlight that there is a brand new larger toilet block available (which was newly opened following refurbishment 5 days before your stay) and a further toilet block that was opened following refurbishment last season. Unfortunately, as a small family business it is not possible to refurbish all facilities at once, however we would like to reassure you, and any readers of your review, that it is our intention to modernise this smaller block in the very near future. Although appearance wise, the tiles may be dated and not to your taste, please be assured that the facilities are cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day and evening, and had you used them on more than the one occasion I'm sure that you would have been reassured as to our high levels of cleanliness. Thank you once again for your generally positive review that highlights the many excellent aspects of our park and covid-safety measures. Kind regards Hayley

Tyddyn campsite is simply the best campsite we have ever stayed in !

Our experience began really well, we were greeted at the front gate by a really nice member of the site team, who led us to our allocated pitch and talked us through the site facilitates etc. We got set up on our raised gravel pitch at the back of the field. We always carry rock pegs with our camping stuff but top tip if you have booked a gravel pitch to bring some along with you. The site is really well looked after and landscaped.

The pitch had a direct and beautiful view of the beach (which is a very pleasant 5 minute walk away). We walked down to the beach that evening. Plenty of families and couples on the beach - rock-pooling and exploring.

We had toilet, shower and washing up facilities at the bottom of our field. The toilets and showers were impeccably clean every time we used them. They are a really good spec and more like hotel toilets than camping toilets ! Washing up facilities are good and plenty of sinks (some closed to allow for social distancing when we visited).

We headed out to the Anglesey motor circuit the next day for a day of racing out in the sunshine, just 30 minutes from the site. The campsite has a really convenient on site takeaway that is fairly priced and good food. Beer at the on site bar is also reasonably priced - stocking local beers as well as branded bottles. The owners were visible on the site and working at the takeaway on the evening.

Easily a 5* site and we will definitely be returning in the future !

Just wanted to drop you a message to express our thanks and gratitude for the service provided us by all the staff during our recent stay at Tydyyn isaf.
Obviously Covid restrictions are in force across the region and the level of safety afforded all guests by your team was exceptional. Despite this every effort was made to make the holiday fun and rewarding. The restaurant / shop / bar staff did a sterling job keeping up with all the orders for take away food and drink, and were happy to accommodate outside dining (takeaway style)
Unfortunately our week was cut short by storm Ellen, the conditions weren’t terrible but our children had struggled to sleep through the first night due to our pitch location. It provided an incredible view of the bay but was a little exposed compared to some of the other pitches.
When I informed the lady on duty of our plan to leave a day early and return to tow the van when the wind was at a safer speed I was taken aback by the help offered to keep my van safe. As it wasn’t to be in use for the night the Tydyyn staff moved the van off pitch and tucked it away in a corner away from any risk
When I called the following morning to say I was on my way to collect the van was produced from it’s safe location, returned to my original pitch And was even turned to be ready for hitch up

I can’t recommend your lovely site enough and we are certain to return for more brilliant family holidays for years to come.

Well done to you all.

What a fantastic park. I have recently returned from a week away at Tyddyn Isaf with my family and highly recommend this family owned & managed park.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Simon who escorted us to our pitch and was really helpful and explained everything about the Park & amenities, and was constantly around the park willing to help even with the smallest of things.
The whole team at Tyddyn Isaf are very welcoming, friendly and happy to help at anytime.
The location & views are really fantastic and only a stones throw away from Lligwy beach via a private path.
The amenities are really of a very high standard from the multiple toilet & shower blocks (there is another new block very close to being finished & opened) to the small shop, takeaway & bar/patio area.
It is very clear that the owners are constantly investing in the Park and maintaining the whole Park to a very high standard.
***** Highly Recommended for Families & Couples *****

Practically perfect but just 2 niggles but this is just me, maybe?

The site is perfect pitches are large ,clean and tidy. The tent area on the pitch we had was pebbles and it made for a good base for the tent. ( Tent pegs need to be good ) The field was lovely and wide and the view to the sea and land was lovely. Toilets were immaculate and some have a shower ,loo and hand basin in them so you can just stay in the one room in the morning and get clean. Don't do like I did and not realise you need your fob for the showers' lol I was undressed and trying the tap for 4 minutes before I saw the sign. I was lucky to get a guy to lend me his for the quickest shower of my life as you have to keep putting the fob on the switch to activate it (Fantastic way to stop water been wasted ). You can get some essential items from the shop and order pizza to collect and eat in or at your tent. Tea /coffee and a good range of alcoholic beverages are also available. Another great thing with this site is you can arrive up until 10pm so if like me you leave work late you can still plan a long weekend and be set up ready for the next day. This does not seem to effect other campers as most late arrivals just want to get the tent up and then finish unpacking the next day .Key fobs are used for barriers on to the path to the beach so its lovely and secure. The conservation area is extremely well thought about and lots of areas around the fields have wild flowers growing. We had a 2 night stay and it felt like so much more because how well the park is run. Ok now for the niggles. (Dogs) I have a dog and took him with me it so great you can do this but So many people do not following the rule to keep them on a lead please sort this out, when you have another persons dog coming up to your dog and tent and doing a poo its not nice or safe. when a dog is pooing on the green area in front where the children play its not good , not all dogs get on and yes yours might be the best behaved dog in the world and ever so friendly or you only follow the rules that you think apply to you but it could be a problem to other owners. a little more info sent out to dog owners at the time of booking would be great and when booking customers in just reminding them of the dogs on a lead rule would hopefully also help. The last niggle is ball games I had to clean up coffee spilt when a football ended up numerous times in my tent area I was also asleep and was kept awake by children collecting the ball from the gravel in my area gone 1030 at night . I am no kill joy by any means but this was not good. If you like a quiet pitch I am totally sure these guys would help in a heartbeat my comments above are for parents and just a little feedback for the site. I would give 10/10 if the niggles were sorted and visit every month as it was otherwise a perfect site.

There's lot to like here. Great sized pitches, we were on a fully serviced which was a great size, well equipped and level. We were greeted by a friendly warden who shown us to our pitch and gave us all of the info we needed.
The site has great views, is about a 7 minute walk down to the beach and a 10 minute walk back up again. The beach is clean, calm and sandy.
Back on the site, the toilet shower blocks are very clean and well serviced. There were queues on a couple of mornings so could do with a few extra loo's for the busy periods.
There is a small shop and takeaway on site where you can order fresh bread, croissants etc. These were very fresh and tasty if not a touch over priced at £3.50 for a loaf of fresh bread. Takeaway pizza was delicious, it's a pity they don't serve a breakfast in the café area as I reckon it would go down a storm.
There's more to come from the site with some works going on, their website details this and it was not intrusive at all.
A word of advice for those with twin axle 8' wide caravans or A Class motorhomes - the access road is single track and very narrow. Each side of our caravan was brushing the leaves so take your time and keep an eye in your mirrors as well s ahead. Once in the site the roads etc are plenty wide enough.
There is no reason for us not to go back and we intend to a little later in the year.
There's a couple of towns 5 - 10 minutes away and plenty to do in the near area of the site.

This is the best site I’ve ever stayed on . We stayed in our tent . The pitch was large and is on pea gravel . No problem with getting the tent pegged out . Our pitch was sheltered ( although some others were quite exposed) and had lovely views of the sea . Takeaway service is excellent and the food was of a good standard . Staff were friendly . Short walk from site takes you to a beach . It’s a nice walk along the coastal path to the small village of Moelfre . While we were there we ate at the kinmel arms . Good pub with nice food .
Shower blocks at the site are good and seem to be regularly cleaned . The showers are large rooms that also have toilets and a sink in them plus a bench and hangers to put your clothes. The only downside to this is that if you want to use a loo , sometimes you have to wait a while if people are in the showers . Having said that , it was peak season when we went , so probably about as busy as it gets .
In summary then . Great site , nice area , helpful staff . Would recommend.
