Fantastic accommodation with open fire, open plan kitchen with all pans/pots and everything you need. Lovely host who was very helpful and stored our bikes in the shed out the rain. Cooked breakfast also provided in the morning which was superb! Would recommend !
Perfect stay at No5 Drinishader with the perfect and helpful host Alyson. House and accommodation are in a perfect location for visiting Harris…..great views !!! The house has everything you need on a trip and is warm and cosy….with lots of character!!! A real feel at home place to stay……it is my second visit and I will return again!!! The place is spotless and meets all the Covid regulations… plenty parking and seating outside. Loved our stay !!!!! My brother and I were impressed with the owner Alyson who was friendly and very helpful with a warm welcoming smile and personality!!!! Highly Recommend !!!!
No 5 was a very good base for a few days while on a cycling trip through the islands. We wanted to have time to explore more than just the south to north route so the 3 nights we spent here were very memorable. The hostel has all the facilities you would need – a well equipped kitchen with plenty of fridge space, a comfortable seating area with a solid fuel stove, which also provided heating to the radiators. Very comfortable rooms and a great shower! It is perched above the Golden Road – a wonderful ride on bikes to get there – overlooking the bay on Loch Tarbert. Alison was brilliant, shopping for supplies for us so that we did not have to carry everything on our bikes and arranging a tub of hand dived scallops which were out of this world good. I also recommend popping into the Harris Tweed Centre in Tarbert where she also works as she was tremendously helpful to us there too. You can’t go wrong here!…
We loved our stay at no5. The place offers pristine rooms, magnificent views to the harbour and roaring fire in the evening. The host is extremely friendly and welcoming. Do not miss out on kayak hire - perfect for seal and other wildlife spotting!
We were so grateful to Alyson for opening up and we had the Croft that sleeps up to 8 just for the 4 of us. We stayed 3 nights. Great views. And a lovely place to stay. Alyson was next door and for a small fee did our washing. Really enjoyed the stay. Location is handy for Tarbert. Lorna’s Larder food van is at the road end and there’s a good art gallery in the township itself. Recommended.
