A fabulous hotel stay here for four nights. The room was small but had everything we could want. Bed comfortable, shower good with plenty fluffy towels and shower stuff. We ate here every breakfast and dinner and the food was the best, fresh and plenty of it. We were amazed at the selection particularly the breakfast. We had seafood every day, yummy. All the hotels just now seem to have staff shortages but you would hardly notice at this hotel because of the hard working people here. Fabulous service and always made time to have a chat. Very knowledgable about local places they were as well. I did try and find time to write for my “Stay Cheeky” blog but there was so much to do on this island. Lovely to have a chat with Angus the owner and get some more history of the area. I would definitely stay here again and we have friends who stay here when in Harris and Lewis. Til next time, “ Stay Cheeky.”

Managed to get into the bar area on a busy Sunday evening which we were grateful for as the few places open in town were fully booked. Staff lovely and tried hard to be attentive which got more difficult as the evening progressed. Main special of baked salmon in a creamy garlic and white wine sauce with potatoes and greens really nice and gluten free! Desserts were a bit mixed, husband had sticky toffee pudding, sauce was burned and I opted for the cheese board which was pricey, no GF oatcakes and only 2 of the 4 cheeses to my liking. Still a nice place to eat or have a few drinks.

Warm, dry and midge free which sometimes is all you need. The lady behind the bar seemed rather grumpy and almost annoyed to have customers troubling her peace. But other staff were perfectly friendly. The food was fine, no complaints. Although it was a bit oversold in the menu descriptions and prices which set an expectation of quality that wasn't really met.

We stayed in one of the suites at the Hebridean Hotel. They are fully-kitted out little houses which are immaculate. Fridge has goodies in when you arrive, there are plenty of lush white towels and a washer-dryer. Food (inc veggie) is simply exquisite at the hotel which is a short walk across the road. Staff are efficient, friendly and welcoming. Brilliant experience! But also, when I left a blouse in a wardrobe, one member of staff dropped it off at my next hotel in Stornaway. How good is that? Cannot praise highly enough.

About the only place available in the Evenings for food certainly on a Sunday & Monday. Very friendly excellent service. A good selection of food on offer to a reasonable quality, we “walked in” and were seated in the bar area, book ahead for the main restaurant.
