We spent 2 nights in Rachel's small apartment behind the main building of rooms. This was an upgrade I understand because she had other travelers in the other rooms, but it was awesome! We were very secluded and had our own separate entrance. She calls the apartment 'The Stables' which it may have been a hundred years ago, but doesn't look like that now. The room has a small but well stocked kitchen, bathroom and living area, with a loft bedroom, windows that opened to the sky and a very comfortable bed. She delivered our breakfast each morning and they were delicious.

This is a great little B&B. Don’t be put off that it’s in a residential street and had an annex across the road. We were in annex which was nothing fancy but nicely done and owners had thought of everything. As well as our room there was a communal sitting room and kitchen if you wanted to stay in and cook. We were shown in by Rhuiridh who was so nice and helpful. Fantastic shower and comfy bed. Fabulous breakfast. Porridge was fab. Walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and harbour. And a minutes drive to ferry terminal. A great find.

We had a great stay @ Stornoway b&b We were greeted on arrival by the lovely Rachel who was happy to take our breakfast orders and book us a time slot for then next day. Breakfast was a full Scottish and was really enjoyable (there were other choices but this was ours). The bed was SO comfortable and we had such a good sleep, very central also. The kitchen area was always clean and wasn’t very busy, we loved the fact it had a dishwasher and that everyone staying was able to keep the area nice. I would definitely return here again. There is a lovely beach just 30 mins away aswell - Garry beach and tolsta beach (traigh mór) Thanks again

I was only looking for a bed and breakfast for two nights in Stornoway, to settle down before exploring Lewis and Harris for a two week break. However, I found Stornoway Bed and Breakfast to have been a highpoint in my holiday. The bedroom and common areas were exceptionally well appointed and clean. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. But for me, above all else, was the high standard of food, on a very well balanced menu. Not simply the average fry up, but thought, cooking and presentation that one might only otherwise find in a five star hotel. A big thank you to all at Stornoway Bed and Breakfast.
