We've spent a week at Port Beag Chalets many times since our first visit in about 1976 and we have never been disappointed. Much has changed over the years, but only in the right way: every time we go, something has been updated or improved. This year, it was wonderful wi-fi and smart TV (not normally important, but the weather was a bit disappointing this time). We stayed in "Larch" a few times in the late 70's, but now we rent Rowan, which is the only one of the original chalets left: it can be windy sometimes! Newer and bigger chalets are now available, but Rowan is our favourite and has always been updated year on year: we can't think of anything to suggest by way of improvement. This year, with Covid, all measures were in place for us to have a safe holiday and for the staff servicing the chalet after we left to be safe too.

Thanks Ailsa, it was really lovely to see you both as always. Glad you liked the smart TVs - useful on those occasional days when the weather doesn't behave ;-)

Just returned from a two week break at Altandhu staying at Port Beag Chalets. We had a fantastic break in the most scenic and relaxing setting. Steps from the water with an enclosed site which was perfect for our dogs to run around in safe from the sheep!! The cabin was extremely well equipped with every possible need covered. The chalets were spotlessly clean with a lot of thought and effort devoted to the COVID threat. We were very reassured. Each cabin has a large s secure deck area which was perfect to let the dogs enjoy the fresh air and the idea place to sit back and take in the wonderful views towards the Summer Isles, the Gairloch and Harris. Thanks you Linda for making our stay so special.
