The cafe staff need re training they have screens in place which is fine but you only have a tiny area to collect your drink and food from, whilst being asked what you would like the other member of staff is busy asking you for the money even when you have not fully decided what you want. Why not wait until the customer has everything they require on a tray then customer moves down to where the till is situated to pay thus clearing the area for the next customer, I know it's a wild idea and also people dealing with food having 2 inch painted nails was be a big no no on my level 2 food handling course.

We stayed here for 2 nights to rewind after our NC500 trip. It was in the perfect location right on the banks of lock ness. The hotel was ok needs a wee bit refurbishing. We were bed only so we paid £10 per person for breakfast which was well worth it. Staff were lovely nothing was a problem for them. Thankyou

Lovely setting not too far from Loch Ness. A 15 min walk to the Loch itself but a beautiful location atop the hill in the village, next door to the loch ness exhibition centre. The staff in the restaurant and all day cafe are youthful and full of knowledge of the area and have a great view on any question you could ask about Nessie and beyond. Very friendly and thouroughly enjoyed our weekend there and would not hesitate to return. Rooms are clean and well stocked, mask wearing is mandatory when travelling between areas which can never be a bad thing. Excellent variety of shops in the grounds with more than enough gifts for all the family along with some fantastic ice cream and photo opportunities with their own Nessie. Massive thank you for a great stay and may well see you soon.

Stayed recently in the budget single room and yes the decor is outdated but with a comfy mattress, fab pillows, big fluffy towels and the room as clean as you can expect, I was very happy with the £54 I paid for 1 night! Didn’t try the bar/restaurant although prices on the menu looked a bit steep to me. Positives: v comfy bed, lovely thick pillows, large towels. Downside: outdated decor - a picture hanging or 2 would help give the room a bit more life.

Let me start by saying this has nothing to do with the staff, they were all excellent, from reception to the cafe, bistro and everywhere to be honest. So friendly and welcoming. I knew it was roughly a 2 star hotel when I booked as it was close to our Loch cruise rather than go up to Inverness to the Premier Inn. Hindsight where were you? We were in a twin room (8) in the block that is not part of the main hotel. This block needs to be demolished. Not sure how OYO operate when they purchase an hotel, franchised so the up keep is down to the franchisee? I tweeted Ritesh Agarwal who is the CEO but he never bothered to reply. Our room was a mess. As you can see from the photos. Can't upload the 3 videos to show the doors and windows that wouldn't shut or open as that is for TripAdvisor's business accounts. As it was for 2 nights we stayed as the bedding etc was clean and our cancellation would have been too late to get a refund. That is also a lesson, don't pay in advance. Maybe renovations are in the pipeline but if it is down to the manager/owner rather than OYO it maybe sometime as we have to recover from the pandemic. It has a lot going for it as regard to location/catchment area
