Despite there being a initial mix up with our booking the staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly to rectify this. Renovations are underway but this didn't spoil our stay at all. We stayed in the suite with the balcony overlooking the sea and its a beautiful room and we will definitely be back. Cant wait to see the refurbished restaurant which i believe will be completed this week.
We booked a week here back in March. We knew building work had just been completed on 7 en-suite rooms. We didn’t realise that building work was still in progress. When we arrived we were disappointed to find there wasn’t anywhere to park when we needed to unload the car plus our dog. We managed to squeeze past some people sitting out having a drink. The guy who showed us to our room said we’d have to move to another room after two days as someone else would be staying there & needed the interconnecting rooms. I was furious as when I booked back in March our booking was the first after the renovations had been finished & I stipulated at the time I wanted the room for a week. Anyway it got sorted thanks to Laura & the rooms are all lovely high spec. Beautiful views out of the bedroom windows & the sea lulls you to sleep. Beds so comfy & our room was very soundproof . We parked our car in the street & there is also a free car park in walking distance. The food was lovely. Generally the staff were friendly & Laura was extremely helpful & went the extra mile. It’s a shame we got off to a disappointing start & the guy who we initially saw wasn’t more personable. Overall it was a lovely week but probably 2-3 nights there would have been adequate. The hotel should have finished all work by the end of June so there will be more rooms but be aware parking is limited here. When the tide is in need to walk dogs elsewhere which means getting in your car. Lovely places nearby to visit. Staff at hotel are very dog friendly.…
We stayed overnight, the sea view from the room was incredible Great food and menu, Amazing atmosphere. Thanks again Jackie and Caitlin for making us feel so welcome. By far the best hospitality experience we have ever had. Looking forward to our next visit
We stayed in the Pier Suite on Saturday night and loved it! The suite itself is gorgeous with an amazing view of Largo Bay out to the Forth. We had food in the restaurant on Saturday night and Sunday morning for breakfast too and it was delicious! Staff are super friendly, really lovely people! Recommended
We stayed here after seeing an Instagram post from @alittlebitofclaire and it didn't disappoint. Room was very comfortable and the sea view from the windows are so relaxing! The bathroom toiletries are fabulous! Bed huge and very comfy. There were renovations when we were there so had to access the room via the fir escape but not a major issue. We had dinner and this was great but you surpassed yourselves with breakfast! Outstanding the best breakfast by far . Your staff are a credit so helpful and friendly . Would love to return once it's all been renovated. Thank you for our wee anniversary card in our room. A great stay.
As soon as we arrived we felt a weight just lift off our shoulders. The location is breathtaking and the views from the room are echoed subtly in the room decor. The sea views were so incredible we felt like we were on a boat! The staff were so friendly and genuine yet very professional and attentive. The food just topped off what was one of the best trips of our lifetime. We highly recommend a visit to the amazing Crusoe. Thank you.
Unfortunately the hotel had lost our booking so the promised upgrade to the suite we had booked was not available. They did have a room for us which was very nice but obviously not what we had anticipated. Unfortunately the gentleman dealing with us did not seem too concerned by the mix up, despite me showing him my confirmation email, which makes me wonder if this happens often? The room was very comfortable but due to the renovations going on we had to access it via the fire escape so this aspect was not great. I can, however, highly recommend the food - both dinner and breakfast were superb. The wine we were given as a complimentary gesture of goodwill for the error was a nice touch but did not make up for our disappointment so I do not think we would stay here again should we visit this part of the country again.…
Loved this hotel. Very clean spacious room overlooking the water. Wonderful friendly staff that went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Excellent food in their restaurant. Great location right on the water. Close to other seaside towns.
Had a lovely meal, everything was excellent. Visited with a relative who uses a wheelchair, and the staff made us welcome and arranged a table for us with plenty of space. Particularly good sticky toffee pudding!
A lovely three night stay at the Crusoe. Despite ongoing renovations we had a great time and staff were so helpful and friendly despite having to work in really difficult circumstances. The part of the hotel which is restored is great and is of a very high standard. The rooms with a sea view were lovely. Food in the restaurant was excellent and staff had our sympathies in the long circuitous route to bring the food from the kitchen. The hotel is very dog friendly and made our lab very welcome. We look forward to coming back again once all the restoration is completed.
