We spent two nights here while attending a wedding close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful and would have done anything that you needed. The food was excellent, good quality ingredients that the chef cooked well. We were only sorry that due to attending the wedding we didn't get the chance to sample more of the menu. Freuchie is a lovely little village and there is a lovely walk on quiet roads and footpaths up to Falkland which again is a lovely place to visit.

We wanted a hotel that was convenient for seeing the sites of Fife. We chose this one as it was close to Anstruther, St Andrews, Falkland Palace and the Scottish Deer Centre. When we arrived we found that it is in a quiet village but convenient for the A92 road. We were welcomed by Jan as though we were old friends. The room was clean and comfortable; it looked as though it had been recently decorated. Breakfast and dinner were substantial and imaginative and delicious. We would stay here again if we were back in Fife.

Spent a long weekend here. Were made very welcome and staff were particularly good with our grandkids aged 2 and 11, sometimes going out of their way to make things special for them. Breakfast excellent and would recommend eating in restaurant. Old (as in historic) building but all facilities adequate and clean. Very comfortable bed in family room so slept well. Lots of sanitation points in place and Covid hygiene well observed. Great location as coastal villages and beaches not too far.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, spotless rooms and plenty of cleaning products available for guests. This is the most dog friendly hotel we've stayed at! There was a water bowl outside and a dog treat for our dog on arrival. A small team of friendly staff and a delicious breakfast. Perfect location for visiting St Andrews and not too far from Edinburgh! We left behind our sons remote control and the owner had contacted before we got home to let us know they could post it to us, we'll definitely be back.

We are a family of 4 and were visiting relatives in Cupar. The staff at the Lomond Hills were all lovely from check-in to check-out and really made a difference to our stay. Comfortable rooms, perfect for our needs, with clean towels and nice refreshments. The food was fabulous, we had one evening meal and 3 breakfasts and the choice was wide - would definitely eat here again even if we weren't staying - even impressed our 12-year-old vegetarian daughter! The staff made our stay very pleasant. Hopefully as restrictions ease the Hotel can be brought back up to full staffing and the little bits of maintenance can be done, as we thought this hotel had so much potential in a lovely part of Fife.
