This is a working man's hotel. Looks like it was done in the 70's and never updated since. Bed was not comfortable to me but mostly because it was firm. Best part was it was quiet. They gave me a room that was in a separate building. Staff was friendly.

We were on a Motorcycle trip to ride Deals Gap Tail of the Dragon. This hotel was very nice for the price. The breakfast was just a continental. It was not far off I-40 and very convienient to Deals Gap

We were in the area, trying to find somewhere that we can move to, as my daughter has serious breathing issues! We initially checked into the hotel, dropped our stuff off in the room (as well as our dog) as we had to go look at some apartments in the area before they closed. The room stunk initially (like a stale smell), but we turned on the AC & thought it would be ok by the time we got back. It was NOT however. I went to ask the desk if we could possibly get a refund, as my daughter could not stay there. He gave me the keys to 8 other rooms & each one smelled just as bad, if not worse. I told him I just wanted to get a refund, as we could not stay there. He had to call the manager in, as he didn't know how to do that. This man was SO incredibly rude & hateful to me & said that my daughter's health problems were not his problem. He refused to give us our money back. We had to just leave, as her health was way more important than losing the money for this room. I would NOT suggest that you go here, as the rooms are substandard & HORRIBLE smelling!
