Great location in downtown Chattanooga. Comfortable and well appointed rooms. They welcome dogs! Valet parking. But the friendly and helpful staff make the Read House a stand out place to stay. You can't go wrong here.

The overall review for this hotel is a 10 if I could give it! The beds were very comfortable and loved the bathroom! We also took the tour of the infamous haunted room where someone was murdered and Al Capone stayed during his trial. The decor and the building itself reminds me of the 1920s. Even the Bell Hop outside wore a hat to match. This is a great place to get away for a night or two for relaxation, indoor pool, room service, pool table, and bar. All safety precautions were made bc of the COVID pandemic and felt very comfortable. Also, having a Starbucks down stairs made it even better! I can’t wait to come back for pleasure instead of business!

We stayed in a historic tower room in an end room. Very clean, quiet, comfortable and updated. Nice workout room and beautiful indoor pool. We had an excellent dinner at their Chophouse restaurant. It was very busy for a Sunday evening and recommend making a reservation. There is a Starbucks adjacent to the hotel and grabbed breakfast there since only saw an in-room dining option for the morning. Valet parking was $18 but efficient and convenient. We were not familiar with the downtown area so did not venture out on foot around the hotel (the streets seemed very quiet but it was a Sunday night...)

Absolutely the best experience. Such an extravagant place. The staff is very friendly, helpful & professional. Very clean. One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The pool was the perfect temperature. Had a blast with the whole family! The bellhops & valet were attentive.

The Read House exceeded our expectations! When we arrived in Chattanooga hours before check-in time and asked to park our car, Alan at the front desk got us checked into our rooms and set up with valet parking! Being able to check right in, unload, and start exploring was a great perk. Our teen and adult children loved seeing a movie being filmed in the lobby when we arrived! The whole hotel celebrated beauty: the exterior, the lobby, elevators, rooms, pool, artwork. Our family kept finding nooks of loveliness that made the hotel a refuge during our vacation. We especially appreciated the daily housekeeping and the friendly staff. The hotel was close to many restaurants (we liked Community Pie and The Public House) and the downtown shuttle.
