We loved our stay. Has a variety of pool areas and the ocean front view was amazing! We enjoyed our week vacation there and the staff was wonderful from check-in, dining, questions, issues, and check-out.
We love love love our time in myrtle beach. The hotel was beautiful and clean and staff was so pleasant. We even won a boat ride provided by the hotel which was a beautiful yacht gave us a tour of south carolina waters, which made our vacation memorable. We definitely coming back for our next family vacation.
We had this place booked a year in advance. I decided to read reviews a month or so before we went and I was scared! Some of the reviews aren’t very good. I have to say, I am a VERY picky person when it comes to hotels. The common area are clean, and nicely renovated and kept clean. The rooms do smell a little musty but that’s to be expected with the amount of humidity in the air. The furniture could use a cleaning or replacing. The TV was so outdated and small but we had amazing weather so we didn’t really use it much anyway. The beds were comfortable enough, the kitchenette and bathrooms needed a little work but I didn’t mind. The food was good, a little expensive but we were paying for convenience. We didn’t leave the resort much and still had a blast. The store, bar, spa, lobby areas were really nice and smelled great. The entertainment area was decent but felt a little dirty and the arcade machines didn’t work most of the time. We lost a lot of money to them! Bowling was a little overpriced. The pool had times when it wasn’t so clean with white scum floating in it, which I assumed was sunscreen(I hope anyway). The smoking area is way too close to the eating area and pools. We smelled smoke any time someone was out there smoking. The bathroom in the indoor pool area smelled like a portable toilet. Now that all of the negative comments are out of the way… The staff were amazing! They were so friendly, accommodating and made you feel like they truly cared about your stay. The night time entertainment was fun, they had a band, a different, karaoke and it was all a blast! I never felt unsafe staying there. We did have plumbing issues but they were very quick to come resolve them. Despite all of the negative things I stated I will most likely book again. We had fun and felt safe. We will just make sure to bring our own cleaning products, I purchased a sheet set to cover the furniture with and some air freshener. If you’re not overly bougie and need the best of the best this place is a great option. I really like that it isn’t one of those snooty resort/hotels. It’s very laid back and perfect for families with young kids.…
A perfect family resort. The kids had a blast and always had something to do. They never wanted to go to the beach or leave the resort because they loved the pools, lazy River and entertainment center. The ice cream was great. The hotel gave us a free private yacht ride which was totally unexpected but incredible! I highly recommend this resort for a family trip.
Our family (children 8 & 5) just completed our 5 day stay and really enjoyed ourselves! I would highly recommend paying the extra for a ocean view room as the sunrises are amazing! I would stay away from the lower floors if possible as the noise from the pool and view obstructed by the palm trees may be annoying. We were in the top floor (12) and it was great! The food is actually very good… we ate at the Bowling Alley, the breakfast place and the pool side restaurant and enjoyed it all. The largest pool is very nice, and lazy river is more like a lazy loop… very short but the kids liked it. The kids splash area is nice too. They also had a mermaid/pirate makeover while the kids loved! Our room was clean ( we had the king/ocean view) and it was nice to have the living room area and kitchen will stove and full size fridge. They do modified house keeping which is for most days just dropping off clean towels and picking up the towels and trash…. We actually prefer this versus having someone come in everyday so it worked for us. The staff is super friendly and I emailed a question and they responded minutes. The beach is beautiful and clean and just steps away! We really enjoyed our stay!…
This “resort” is highly overpriced. It is run down and old. The commode would not flush properly and the shower would take an hour to drain. One evening we came back to a sewer smelling room. They sent housekeeping and he poured something down the toilet and the shower. Had an awful smell! We got stuck in an elevator and they had to pry the doors open after about 15 minutes with no air in the elevator. The lobby smells musty and I bet it has not been updated in 20 years. The pool was not clean and at some point they were skimming out some kind of white substance out of the pool water several times an hour. The drinks at the bar are overpriced for the small cups. I would not recommend this place to anyone. From the pictures and the price we paid I expected much better.
This was our third year going back to Coral Beach Resort. We love the pools, 4 Hot tubs, lazy river, and right on the beach. I can sit out and enjoy a cold drink and a beach side sandwich without having to drive off the property, the same for a good breakfast in the restaurant on the ground floor. We had a great Ocean front room with a kitchen and a separate bedroom that was very nice and roomy. We also had a great boat ride on the Hotels 63 ft Boat that took us out to the opening of the Jetty, also got to see a Porpoise, also got to watch a master Captain dock the boat like a champ in tight quarters ( not easy). We cant wait to go back.
Captain Ryan & First Mate Donovan were SO wonderful! They were super chill, pointed out special places along the river, made sure we were totally comfortable, gave us great recommendations on where to eat. One of the highlights of our vacation was this cruise. 10 out of 10 stars!!! Nothing could have made this a better experience!!!
Dirty and filthy every where you look. There was hair and seaweed in the the pools, i even saw a couple of bandaids. Way over priced. Tryst to act like a top tier hotel but it is far from that. I will not be caught dead in this hotel again.
My family and I just stayed 4 nights here. The staff was polite, the pools and other amenities were nice as well. We stayed in an Oceanview suite and the view was amazing. However we had to call housekeeping to bring us all the kitchen utensils that was supposed to already be there, we had an musky/mildew smell in the room and the carpet was damp. We called for maintenance and housekeeping and they didn't show up until we called and requested them again later that evening. Maintenance never got the issues fixed. We requested to move rooms, but I was told they didn't have any available oceanfront rooms. On the 3rd day I called and requested housekeeping to clean the room and when we got back in the room about 11:00 pm the room had not been cleaned. I would not suggest this hotel if you are sensitive to mold/mildew. Our family stayed out of the room as much as possible due to the wet carpet and smell. Our family decided to stay another night at Myrtle Beach, but stayed at a different hotel. When we checked out of the hotel I spoke with management and went over our issues. They did take a small percentage off our bill, but it didn't even equivalent to one night's stay. This hotel is not worth the price!…
