Overall it was a great stay. 3 nights and nothing went wrong at all! The staff was great :) The view from my balcony overlooked the marina and the golf course. It was helpful that the hotel had valet parking and the convenience of having meal choices on the property.

I've stayed at many hotels in the last few years and didn't find this one to be a 4 star hotel. My son had his wedding on the private beach that belongs to the Marina. The walkway to the private beach is full of trash. The carpet had stains in the room and the icemaker didn't work in the refrigerator. Dishes sat outside one of the rooms close to ours for 2 days before they were taken away. The hotel was very expensive but this is where my son chose because this is where he and his fiancee had gone on their first trip. We stood at the onsite restaurant for 5 minutes and nobody ever showed up at the desk. The employees were nice and accommodating. The pool was very nice.

My husband and I spent 5 days 4 nights at the Amazing Marina Inn at Grand Dunes. I must say It was one of the best vacations ever. With 5 days we were able to get to enjoy the resort and the amenities around the resort. We had a King waterfront which was located on the 5th floor. From day one everyone was amazing. Laura and the other ladies in customer service ensured we had everything we needed gave us a lay out of the resort and was pleasant and friendly. there's a refection bar located inside the hotel and Alex and Juile in the bar rock. The food was AMAZING do try the Rib tacos. The pictures on the website were an understatement the campus and staff are above 5-star can't wait to return with the whole family. Marina Grand thanks for the amazing week all my family and friends are reaching out for a revisit,

To set the stage, we planned this visit to celebrate our ninth wedding anniversary. We frequently visit Myrtle Beach but haven’t been back since Covid and having two young children. The Marina Inn had high aspirations to become our new favorite vacation spot. What was attractive about the Marina Inn was the space (we had a two bedroom suite) and amenities. For the price you really can’t beat the space and amenities, and I guess that should have been a red flag for me when I booked. Positives: - Most of the hotel staff were exceptional especially Jason & Scott (valet and beach shuttle driver) as well as Nancy and the staff at Waterscapes (we ate there twice for breakfast) - The pools were nice and clean, there was plenty of space for our family to spread out - We were moved to a room with a Marina view (more on that below) which was spectacular. The boys could have just watched the boats for our entire visit and would have been satisfied - The beach shuttle was such a great convenience and I especially loved not having to lug beach chairs and umbrellas down to the beach (their private beach area had plenty of chairs and umbrellas) Negatives: - Unwelcoming front desk staff: Upon check in, I felt like I was being a burden the front desk staff. In fact I was a little unsure where to check in so I had to ask the lady sitting behind the desk “is this where I check in?” to which I was greeting with a terse “last name please.” - Smoke filled rooms: while this property is supposedly “smoke free” the first suite we were in smelled as if there had been multiple packs of cigarettes smoked inside the room since 2007. I promptly requested a room chance calling to front desk to see if there were “non-smoking” rooms available to move my family with two small children. We were eventually moved to another suite which did not initially have the same smells. However, the adjoining rooms or air systems must be connected such that when other guests decided to smoke in their rooms the potent smell of weed was constantly being blown into our suite (especially concerning with two small children). When I asked the front desk staff about making sure I wasn’t charged the $300 smoke cleaning fee, she didn’t seem very empathetic to the fact that this was more than just a nuisance during our stay. Her response was, “I’ll have the security walk up there and check.” I think I was expecting something with a little more compassion for the situation like, “I’m sorry that’s happened to you and your family, how can we make this right?” - Dated and worn out facilities: the furniture (in both suites we visited) were very “worn” and have definitely been used beyond their life expectancy for hotel furniture. The beds were not comfortable and pillows seemed like they haven’t been replaced in a decade. The dated wicker patio furniture was also beat up and falling apart which was a concern for my small crawling child. Bottom line: The space and amenities are a great value and most of the hotel staff was very friendly and conscientious. I had hoped based on my research that the Marina Inn would become our new favorite spot for our little family, but after this first stay, we will unfortunately be looking elsewhere for future Myrtle Beach stays.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Marina Inn. We were there during the week, so it was very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a Club Suite and had a view of the waterway and golf course. We could also see the marina. The room was very clean and also quite large. The Club Suites have a full kitchen with a nice bathroom and a sitting area with a couch and 2 chairs. Two lounge chairs were on the balcony. Our balcony was recessed, so we did not see other guests on either side of us. A shuttle is provided to take guests to the beach. The beach is very close (but not walkable), about a 7-minute ride. The shuttle driver has the beach towels onboard the van. When you are ready to return to the hotel, there is a "Call Box" located at the drop-off point at the beach (after getting off the van, you walk a path to the beach). After pressing the button on the "Call Box," a person at the hotel answers, at which time you tell them you need the shuttle back. The shuttle was back in about 6 minutes or so. Very efficient. The only "con" we could think of was re the Breakfast Buffet. You can order breakfast from a menu or select the buffet. We had the buffet, but did not feel it was worth the cost. There are a number of restaurants within a few miles, so there are options. The Marina Inn is roughly 5 miles from Broadway At The Beach. We had a very nice time and plan to return in the future.

This hotel received 5 out of 5 not just because of the property, but because of Tricia in reservations and Ashley the manager. Of course, the hotel has all of the comforts of home and is always clean, but I think it’s important to note how you are treated. With all of the negative things happening in schools, for my mental health and well being, I needed a break and a true get away. Educators usually don’t have an opportunity to just decompress. Tricia patiently listened to my needs, responded with true care and concern and worked with Ashley to ensure I had a peaceful experience. During check as busy as they were, Cherie and Sheryl greeted us with the biggest smiles and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. I don’t recall being treat with such professionalism and care in a long time. The bellmen Dick, Jason and Jeremy took care of our every need. On this visit , we missed Bruce but when he is there, he is attentive, as well. Where else can you stay and be treated like royalty and relax peacefully in your own sanctuary? If I could provide a rating of 10, I would.

Happy and Relaxing Atmosphere. This is the only hotel I come to when I visit Myrtle Beach. I have an amazing experience each time I arrive at this destination and some of the staff recognize me and my friends when we drive up.

We had a fantastic time at Marina Inn. The views were amazing. The beach shuttle was efficient, the pool area was relaxing and not overly busy even though it was Memorial Day Weekend. Special shout out to: Bellman Sam - great service, great recommendations, great professional personality! Jeremy at the Valet stand (actually all the valet staff) but Jeremy especially - always quick to get our car with a smile, to inquire how are day is/was. Front desk: The sweet lady with the long gray hair that checked us in on the 28th and to Laura for her help during our trip' Kudos to all of you for your excellent service!!!! The reason I did not give this place a 5 star rating is the rude woman with the long multi-shade hair at the desk on the 30th and the manager Deana? that made us wait to check out (even though we were threatened multiple times of a huge charge if we weren't checked out by noon) she left the desk staffed with a person that was on her 2nd day of employment. I had to go knock on her office door to get any response.

Over all Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is one of our favorite places to stay at Myrtle Beach! The Marina area and being located on the waterway is beautiful and makes for some enjoyable walking. It is located close to many area attractions and restaurants. The location of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse virtually in the parking lot is also a plus.
