Tiki Bar Scott was awesome. His personality and the atmosphere he created made this a 10 star trip. A wide assortment of menu items, all top quality for young and old. We will DEFINATELY be back! Our view from our room was amazing! All the staff do a great job.
Every year we go they always meet all our expectations, good hotel that always delivers. Right in the middle of all the shopping and restaurants and plenty of attractions ( free and paid ones ). Always recommend to all my friends and relatives.
Holiday Inn hotel customer service representatives Terrice and Phonebee presented a room with a beautiful ocean view for my family today. they were very polite and professional. I express my deep gratitude to them! I recommend this hotel to everyone!
This is my fourth and last stay. I was VERY, VERY, VERY disappointed due to NOT being informed anywhere on the website nor on the web that breakfast was no longer included, in fact information on other booking sights that I used to check periodically for pricing changes, actually STILL show that breakfast IS INCLUDED. For a party of 9 people, this WAS a HUGE UNEXPECTED LOSS to my budget for our family vacation/honeymoon for one of my children & thus we had to alter activity plans due to ADDED expenses. No where on your website is there any kind of notifications or disclaimers announcing this change. This was the main reason I accepted the prices to stay here vs another less expensive hotel on the boardwalk. The grounds, pool area & pool equipment was lacking. Many of the inner tubes for the lazy River were barely inflated and left thrown about. On the 2nd night, 2 of our party, myself included slipped on the indoor pool step closest to the lazy River. Either the 2nd or 3rd pool step was sooo slippery from build up from ???? From the day, that upon stepping in the pool , my foot went sideways out from under me & I went down the steps sideways. One of my adult children said the same happened to him earlier, but he was able to catch himself with rail. I was not so fortunate, luckily I only scraped my ankle & experience slight swelling. The AC in room 134 is falling off the wall from screws, as the anchoring screws appear not able to support the weight of the unit & thus water leaked all over the floor, from the unit to the closest bed. We had to “prop it up” with a coffee cup to keep it level to keep it from leaking any more inside. (In case Hsk wondered why the coffee mug was on the floor under the ac).The young lady working the desk Monday evening at approximately 9pm, was phenomenal. She seriously needed another team member there as she was slammed with phone calls, customers request & check ins, but was handling it all like a pro. Your bartender was great .…
Great hotel, the main downfall is there is no restaurant at the hotel but the location is convenient. Check in was terrible - VERY delayed and it wasnt quite the busy season yet. Staff was friendly. Pools were cleaned daily but rooms were not. You need to call housekeeping if you want/need anything for your room.
If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I checked in mid may by myself, I had a 3 day weekend and decided to drive the 3 hour drive to Myrtle Beach. Not really familiar with the area or the best of the best hotels but this one was pretty high ratings on google so I put the address in my gps and arrived at holiday inn. First off this is not a chain thisnone is it’s own private business so you can’t go to corporate as they don’t have a corporate number so I was told and they won’t give you the owners information go figure. Anyways to my point, I arrived around 11:30 at night I was faced with Audrey from the front desk this was the rudest encounter I have ever had she was snarky and rude and it so happened I was more annoying to be there then she was happy to check me in. I think I should at least be said hello to instead she said she was getting to it and to give her a second. Very rude. I shortened my stay with Priceline and ended up leaving 2 days earlier and staying at the breakers. If you want to spend hundreds of dollars and be spoken to disrespectfully I suggest going here, if you want a good time and your moneys worth take it somwhwere else, the rooms were not clean or renovated. the best staff they had was maintenance I had a small toilet issue. Even there security wasn’t doing jack when I checked in. If you care about your money take it somewhere else.…
Location was great. This is an older establishment. The price seemed high. We enjoyed the tiki bar and short walk to the pier. There are many restaurants within walking distance. I think the rooms could have been cleaner and more attention to detail.
This was my first time visiting Myrtle Beach and this hotel was the perfect place to stay. Very friendly staff, great amenities, clean and the location is awesome. I would definitely recommend staying here!!! Five stars for me.
The very best in the business. balcony, facing the beach is always the best money can buy. The sea breeze , the sky wheel directly across our hotel room, is exciting. So I strongly would recommend travellers , holiday stays to visit the site.
The beds are saggy, the pillows are a joke, the carpet turned my socks black, the pool area is hedged around so you cant see the ocean, the coffee shop has pastries with no ingredients, use by dates, allergy warnings, nothing! The Tiki Bar has 4 chairs on one side and three on the other, (the bar tender was really nice) the air conditioner blows right in your face when you are in bed, the bathroom is the size of a phone booth, and this was a king, ocean front room. Just a run down hotel at best.
