My husband and I made last minute reservations. They were very helpful upon arrival, and we were pleasantly pleased with the site. Short walk to the pool and clubhouse. Quiet, had a small back grassy area for dog. Great location for beach, shopping and food. We will be back.

Plenty of reviews to confirm that this is a beautiful resort, plenty of shade which is what we look for. We stayed in two different spots while we were there. Our first spot was lake side and we won’t do that again...the lake seems to be party central and during our first few days there was a family the other side of the lake who decided to play music VERY loudly at 12.30 at night on the night before they left. Kind of a Goodbye Parting gift? Noise carries over water so this side of the resort was noisier than we had hoped for. When we checked in, the lady made a big deal about how strict they were about quiet hours yet they seem to be powerless to do anything when needed. We moved to the “forest” section for our second week and that was much nicer. There seemed to be more permanent folks there and they tend to be more respectful of peoples boundaries. We had more shade, and more peace and quiet - things we prefer. Of course, every day is leaf blower day...there seems to be no escape from those things no matter where you go. We plan to go back next year to the shady wooded section.

This RV resort is by far the most beautiful one I have ever camped at. My wife and I enjoyed an overnight stay coming from Orlando headed home to SC. It was a great stop for the day. The only issue we had was that it was hard to get an Uber. Will definitely go back for an extended stay of the Lord allows.

We traveled to HH for 5 days and found our site, immaculate. Stamped concrete pad with a bar with patio chairs and umbrellas. We backed up to the pond which gave us some nice ambiance from the fountain. Lush and Beautiful! Prior to our departure, we questioned if they were going to let us in with our 2001 class A, as the website and several emails stating that they were going to inspect our rig upon arrival. We found the staff where warm and friendly with zero issues upon check in. This was a load off out minds.....as there was no back up plan. Everything was well maintained and dog friendly, as we were traveling with 2 large dogs. Treats and doggie clean up stations. Here are some notes for your stay and to the MCR: -If you are staying next to the pond, there are mosquitos. Bring spray, wear long clothing. It's a pond and you are in SC...there will be mosquitos. No crock sightings, just turtles and fish. -From the gate out to the main drag, I would suggest a walking path/ sidewalk. These gates are busy and if you walked your dogs out of the resort, keep alert. -For dog lovers, they do have a fenced in area for smaller dogs which is nice, but it you are traveling with a high energy large dog, I would suggest walking out of the resort, turn right and immediately right onto the bike path. There is an area with what we called a dog run. Just be careful of the bikers...however we did not see many on that section. -If you are planning on riding your bike or walking to the beach.....this is NOT 1 Mile to the beach as advertised. At best 2 miles....and really only if you are the first sites from the gate. We did not travel by car, therefor we rode our bikes everywhere. It was great. However our first adventure out....we thought it was a mile. Ummmmm No. Thanks to someone in a golf cart who loved dogs we did not have to walk round trip that adventure. We enjoyed our stay and the location was great, people were very friendly. We did hear the blowers every morning, but it really did not bother us. At night it is dead quiet. Bike paths around HH everywhere. Easy ride to the grocery. Our stay was great and we hope to be back in the future.

As the other reviews share, the property is lovely. The people are also very nice. It is reasonable to expect some quiet and peaceful time during a paid vacation. We simply could not sit outside and read a book, eat outside or just relax. Every day, all day there is significant noise from the various maintenance crews. During our stay, there was major excavation project that required heavy equipment, loud noise, big dust sheets in the air. Renters just need to be prepared and lower their expectation regarding quiet and peaceful experience.
