Given a room in main building right next to elevator. No way …… loudest room ever and when we asked to be moved (and they acknowledged how loud it was) we were told there were no more rooms so take it or leave . Literally…. Take it go. So we left. I would rather go home on my 29th wedding wedding anniversary weekend, cancel dinner than stay there. Thanks for the hospitality and be warned

The Atlantic Beach Hotel is in a great location near the beach and close to Newport. A decade ago it might have been the place to stay... but suffers from lack of maintenance, poor management and unfair pricing variations for a multi week stay (we paid rates from $135 to $450+ taxes during our stay) - combined, these issues make it a questionable value now. The rooms and especially the bathrooms are very basic and very noisy... nearby room doors can be heard banging loudly, the bathrooms have poor amenities (and are not resupplied with basics everyday), the a/c is loud and the television set and cable service are from the 1990s. On a positive side, Tickets, the associated restaurant (across the road) has a great menu and staff. And there is a nice enclosed pool next to reception. Finally, don't bother asking for early check in or a room with a view - just like Fawlty Towers the management will make it clear that they have the right to change their mind about any commitments made to you when you were booking.

Room smelled a little like wet dog and they have these stupid half- sized pillows. I called to ask for a normal pillow and they said they didn’t have any. So dumb! I’m supposed to have 200 hundred characters so I’m writing to say that the pool looks nice but I haven’t tried it yet.

Lovely stay in a very clean and spacious room. No carpet which is great and floors were very clean. We had two double beds facing the ocean with a large window making it light and cheerful. The beach is right across the street and there are multiple restaurants throughout within a quick walk and the hotel offers complimentary morning coffee. The Cliff Walk, mansions and harbour restaurants are all within a 5-8 minute ride. Perfect location! The only negative was the front desk would not let us check in before 3pm although the room was clearly ready well before that. After a long exhausting trip it would've been much appreciated to check in as soon as the room was available.

Hotel charged much more than booked price. It was suspicious that the confirmation email did m not state the room price. Horribly over-priced. A Motel 6 room for $458.99. Crooks. We stayed at this hotel for a lacrosse tournament at St. George's and it could not have worked out better. We needed two king beds in the same room and this is one of the rare hotels that offer that accommodation. Some things to be aware of: The front building contains most of the amenities: pool, sun deck, laundry, etc. They ask for $10 for additional cars even if the parking lot is empty. The electric charging stations are plentiful but if you leave your car there a minute beyond the charging time they charge $2.00/hour even if there are available charging stations. If you want to take a bath-bring your own TUB PLUG as the tubs don't have stoppers. Laundry is only one machine that only takes quarters. The parking is nice as you can usually find a spot under the building to keep your car in the shade. The restaurant-Tickets-is good enough to eat when you are hungry but not a first choice for quality and variety.

We decided to take a mini get away out of town to visit the mansions in Newport. This hotel was very close to the line. I have to say the front desk clerk could be better motivated . I walked in to the lobby to check in got off the elevator said Hi. I heard a Hi, and said Ok where are you. He was sitting a the desk, did not get up , asked me my name and checked me in not getting up once. Only words said were Hi and Room ***. No directions to where the room is. Nothing. So my wife and I went up to the second floor and looked at the room first. The room was clean, nicely laid out. We went back to our car to get our things. Room had microwave , fridge, cable TV. Only one chair. I wish there was a second chair in the room. We had a view of the sundeck as well as street. We checked out in two days and were on our way. Have to think about it if we were to return to the area. But on the plus side the restaurant across the street which most be a part of the hotel was good . We found a second restaurant a short walk away as well.

We were satisfied with our room, it was updated with decent materials and fixtures. The doors were heavy and loud, sounding like slamming in the halls, glad I was on the top floor cause chairs don't even have sliders to reduce noise. Saturday night the bar next door had live music, couldn't sleep until they were done! Amenity fee of $10/day was not mentioned until we arrived. There's decent coffee in the lobby. Nice location and clean.

Enjoined beach location Not on beach but beach vibe and visible from some rooms and parts of the deck. Room on pond was great view Amenities are as stated and large quality TV came in handy at night Stayed in fall and I’m sure bit crazy in the summer. Food/Liquor/ice cream all less than 5 minute walk and there is a Cumberland farms for gas and convenient store items few buildings down but not visible to hotel. Rooms as pictured and hotel is very clean. Front desk extremely friendly.
