What a find! Walked into the office to inquire about room availabiity and felt welcomed immediately. The entire property is so well manicured. The cabins are crispy clean outside and in. Obviously the owners care about their property and about their customers. Some reviewers call it dated. I call it homey. We could easily spend an extended vacation here using this as our base while exploring the tri-state area.
We've been staying here for several years, including several days in June and July last year. We learned that new owners were transitioning last summer. I'm happy to report that everything is the same. Comfy bed, clean room, great water pressure on the shower and warm friendly service. We are in room 13 which is huge and has 2 queen beds. The porch in front of every cabin is so nice for relaxing. Prices are reasonable and you're only about a mile from the center of Milford. Easy trip to Dunkin Donuts or a great breakfast place.
This is a lovely place to stay. The cabins are a great size, clean and very comfortable. Showers had strong water pressure. This is an older motel, but they have kept up the cabins nicely and the price is great! I would definitely stay here again and much prefer it over a chain hotel. The location was also great and sits on a private large lot off the main busy road.
This motel is out of the fifties with single cabins in a row. They are small, clean and very dated. Bed was firm. Had to leave windows open since base board heaters continued to put out heat even when turned off. Not really worth the money.
We stayed here in October 2021 (just now reviewing). It was individual and duplex cottages with porches. Our room had two beds and the softest sheets I've ever slept on. The desk clerk said they came from JC Penney and I would love to have a set at home. The room wasn't anything fancy but was roomy, clean, and quiet. A great location near downtown and area waterfalls. I would highly recommend it.
It was quiet, cozy, private. The bed had a real quilt. There was an extra blanket in the closet. It was clean. There were flowers in the room. I loved it. It's basic, no frills, but it was so homey! And the innkeeper's child gave me an acorn at check-in - I melted. I love this place!
Meyer Motel is truly home away from home! Great value. Very clean. Warm and cozy. Highly recommend!!! Why stay in a chain hotel when you can have your own cottage with a front porch, beautiful trees on the lawn, and vehicle parking right near to your front door?!! Wonderful! Will come back. Thank You!!
This is not a luxury hotel, but a motel with charming free-standing rooms . Rooms are large and super clean despite decor being somewhat dated — in other words, things aren’t just clean because they’re new, they are kept clean regularly. Bathroom, baseboards, doors, floors, beds … I was impressed. Hot water right away, and plenty of it. Perfect pillows and clean crisp sheets. The only negative was that the room took a while to heat up, but that’s just because these rooms seem geared toward summer vacation and this was late November. Also, you can tell it’s a family-owned motel by the customer service. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here overnight while on a house-hunting venture. We picked this hotel based on reviews we had read, and we really liked it! Convenient location off of I- 84. Cozy, country feel, clean room, super-quiet...we slept like a log! Staff was very nice. Would definitely stay here again!
Everything from the cottage to the couple running this place was wonderful. The price was surprising low. Bed was comfortable and had a cute front porch. Parking right next to the cabin was awesome. Also nice to have coffee and juice every morning in the office. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to get back there again. We loved the town, the restaurants and waterfalls. Everything was so close by. Nice not to spend your vacation driving long distances.
