We recently worked with Britney in Group Sales to reserve 10 rooms for a bridal party. She was helpful, courteous, and patient with us as we decided how to best accommodate our guests for my daughter's wedding. Britney was just the sunshine we needed when other wedding tasks at this Doubletree were beginning to feel cumbersome. Her sweet demeanor and positive attitude are certainly an asset to this venue. I was really appreciative of the time she spent ensuring customer satisfaction.
My car club held its annual major convention using this facility as our headquarters. Along with lodging, we had a number of banquet events here. Everything was excellent! Excellent staff, food, organization.
Stayed here for a family trip to Lancaster. We booked a 1 bedroom suite and it was plenty of room for us. The pool was fantastic, the kids loved it. It basically was a mini indoor water park. The grounds themselves were also gorgeous as well. A nice place to just walk around on a cool summer evening. The only issue we had while staying there was that the AC vents clearly are not cleaned often enough, so the bedding was covering in yuck when we got to the room. But they sent someone to the room and cleaned it and no problems after.
We have stayed at this property on numerous occasions, and were never disappointed. Our recent visit kept the streak going! The location of the hotel is off the main routes in the area. It's convenient to many things, but has a country atmosphere. Our stay there was quiet and relaxing. We were warmly welcomed, and the staff continued to be friendly throughout our stay. We had a room on the 1st floor in the lower building. Our window faced the banquet area. Which in many locations could be a problem. But not here. There was a wedding reception Friday evening, but it was over by 10:00 pm, and all was quiet. The room was clean, and the a/c worked well. With no windows facing the exterior, the drapes kept it nice and dark even into the morning, so we could sleep in. No issues at all. We had decided to try out another place as a change of pace, but that didnt work out at all. We didnt bring our bathing suits, as the other motel had no pool. So it was just a minor disappointment that the hot tub at the Doubletree was out of commission, and appeared to be that way for some time. We enjoyed sitting out by the pond/lake in the evenings and mornings. A peaceful place to just relax and read. Next trip here we will not think twice about staying somewhere else. This is our goto place. As the old saying goes.... "if it ain't broke, dont fix it!". We don't see how you could go wrong by staying here.…
Super friendly staff. Common area well maintained. Rooms old and dated. Musty smell and loud AC. Hotel only provides room clean every four days. Overdue for room upgrades and furnishings. Limited food hours.
This was one of the nicest hotels for a conference/convention that I've ever been to. The rooms were comfortable. If you want a quieter room, I suggest requesting one facing out rather than facing the courtyard, although the views for those are lovely. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is the bathroom was very small. Everything else was topnotch.
Our daughter and her fiancé had chosen this hotel for their wedding block sight unseen. It did not disappoint! Everyone was wonderful, friendly, and accommodating - just all-around tremendous customer service. We are familiar with the DoubleTree hotels; however we had no idea just how lovely and perfect this particular site would be. The lobby and atrium are beautiful, Cafe 24 is great, and everyone that used the pool area was very impressed. Add Starbucks and the Giant (among other conveniences) just across the parking lot / street and it was just an all-around perfect choice for home-base wedding weekend! Highly recommend…
We booked for the kids pool with the water slide, but the slide was removed. Our daughter still enjoyed herself but it was still a bummer. Pools were clean, warm. And large. They have pool toys in the kid area which is a nice touch. The hot tub is walled off, empty and maybe under construction. Our room is nice, but we didn’t have a book for room service or local restaurants. Room is insulated from outside noise. Even with an event going on we did not hear a thing. AC in the room was very loud when turning On and off. It was startling at night. Room had a large jet tub, but mystery stains around tub on walls and ceiling. The rest of the room was clean but a bit dated. The restaurant still has a very limited menu, so our dinner choices were disappointing. Dogs are allowed (pets) in the restaurant so the meal included barking. Front desk staff is great! Super friendly and kind. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Overall not a super great experience for the price we paid……
Just to clarify a recent review, this hotel does not cater to kids, it simply makes kids welcome and provides separate areas to entertain them. That being said, i think that is awesome! Separate children's water play area for younger children, which was a great place for little ones and adults and older teens can use the adult swimming pool. Hotel was clean, front desk staff was awesome! Special thanks to the young lady that worked Saturday evening and Sunday morning, she was a doll. (sorry i did not get your name). Jon was also extremely helpful and a joy to meet. We ate in the restaurant, which serves a limited menu, and it served its purpose and was convenient. Like many businesses in the area they are short staffed but this did not detract at all from our stay. Some people mentioned no housekeeping, they have limited daily service. However, you can request touch up service and anything else and they will accommodate you. This also did not bother us as most hotels have been doing this since COVID. This is a great place for anyone wanting a getaway or even for business. Check hours of the restaurant and bar when you check in. Hours are limited and better to be prepared. It is a quick drive to all the attractions and is located in a nice quiet setting. This hotel has plenty of elevators running at different locations of the building and it handicap accessible in all areas. If we had any complaints it was the bed comfort. We had a great time and will return if in area.…
Nice hotel, great location, but clearly caters to kids. As a couple, we booked the golf package which allowed us to use the on-site course but beware - the package is 1 round per STAY, not DAY. I don't think we should be charged the golf rate per day if we can only get one round. The pool is like an amusement park - again, great for kids but sucks for adults. Would be nice to have a time for adult swim only so that others without kids can enjoy that amenity. Needless to say we did not use the pool. Also, prepare to have chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast with no other option except the traditional eggs, etc. Seems like just adding a waffle maker could fix that. Kids running in the hallways all times of day made it noisy. Yes, we were there during spring break but this hotel is marketed as an upscale golf resort so we expected a little more. Great location near attractions and outlet shopping. Summary: good hotel for kids, not adults.…
